The Trump administration has commenced a new deportation operation targeting Somalis in Minneapolis, The Daily Wire has learned.
More than 100 Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers from across the country have descended on Minneapolis with orders to scoop up hundreds of illegal immigrants from Somalia who already have deportation orders, Homeland Security sources told The Daily Wire.
One source said as many as 500 Somalis are on the target list and that any additional illegal immigrants found during the operation are fair game.
This comes after last month’s revelation that Somali migrants in Minnesota were deeply involved in a complex web of welfare fraud. Not only that, these migrants were found to have been sending taxpayer money back to Africa, where at least some of it ended up in the hands of terrorists.
Following this revelation, President Trump was quick to remove the state’s Somali migrants’ Temporary Protected Status (TPS). In a statement announcing the end of TPS, he referred to Minnesota as “a hub of fraudulent money laundering activity.”
Under President Trump, ICE has been hard at work deporting dangerous criminals and keeping our nation safe. As officers descend on Minneapolis, let’s pray for their safety!
