This year was filled with unexpected plot twists, moments of celebration, as well as immense sorrow and tragedy. The nation was heartbroken over the shooting at Annunciation Church and Catholic School at the hands of a trans-identified shooter who killed two students and wounded several others. Christians also saw justice after a famous megachurch pastor pleaded guilty to committing indecent acts with an underage girl decades ago.
