Full Passage (NLT):
My child, if you have put up security for a neighbor, if you have shaken hands in a pledge for a stranger,
you have been trapped by what you said and are caught by your own promise.
So, do this to free yourself; since you have fallen into your neighbor’s hands,
go and humble yourself; press your neighbor to release you.
Don’t give your sleeping companions cause to despise you;
keep your promise, but find a way to get out of it.
