In 2022, the Biden administration’s FBI reportedly obtained the phone records of FBI Director Kash Patel. However, Director Patel was, at the time, a private citizen, highlighting the extent of the federal overreach practiced by the former administration.

The FBI obtained phone records for its now-director Kash Patel during the Biden administration in 2022, while he was a private citizen, two sources confirmed to Just The News on Wednesday.
The subpoena for the phone records were issued as part of an investigation into President Donald Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
It also obtained White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles’ phone records in 2023.
Director Patel told Reuters that these subpoenas are examples of federal overreach. He called them “outrageous and deeply alarming,” highlighting how the FBI had “bur[ied] the entire process … to evade all oversight.”
This is just one example of the federal overreach practiced under the Biden administration. As IFA covered last year, congressional investigators reportedly collected 30 million lines of phone data as part of a January 6 investigation. And, on a similar note, the FBI, under the direction of Special Counsel Jack Smith, collected the phone records of several Republican lawmakers. The Biden-era FBI also paid a foreign anti-Trump group hundreds of thousands of dollars to assist with investigations.
Director Patel is working hard to right the ship and purge the FBI of all corruption. Let’s pray for him as he works to guide the organization, and let’s pray for an end to all federal overreach!
