    Reading Time: 3 minutes

Over the weekend, two ISIS-inspired teens threw bombs at a crowd of protestors in New York City in an attempted terror attack. And in the immediate aftermath, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani rushed to tell the world that he was on the side of the radicals, not the protestors.

    From the Daily Wire:

In the immediate aftermath of an attempted terrorist attack by young supporters of radical Islam outside Gracie Mansion, Mayor Zohran Mamdani chose to tell the world which side he’s on. And it’s definitely not on the side of the cops and protesters who would’ve died in an explosion the young radicals hoped would cause death and destruction “even bigger” than the Boston Marathon bombing. No – it’s on the side of radical Islam, the kind supported by his virulent anti-Israel activist friend Mahmoud Khalil.

“Last night, as we marked the one year anniversary of his detention, Rama and I were honored to welcome Mahmoud, Noor, and their son Deen to Gracie Mansion to break our fast together,” Mamdani posted.

The mayor attached a picture of he and his wife welcoming the activist who led the anti-Jewish protests at Columbia University, including illegal occupations of buildings which caused the Trump Administration to detain him over support for terrorist organizations like Hamas and lying on his original visa form.

In his initial X post following the attack, Mayor Mamdani condemned the protestors, who were peacefully gathering in opposition to the Islamic takeover of their city, as white supremacists. He offered no criticism of the men who hurled explosives, however, until after he had already faced significant backlash.

Even worse, rather than dining with the brave police officers who leaped into action during the attack over the weekend, Mayor Mamdani decided to celebrate by dining with the man who organized several antisemitic, anti-Israel protests. In doing so, the Mayor showed that he is no friend to the nearly one million Jews living in his city. Rather, he is a friend of the radical Muslims and activists who despise the Jewish people and the Jewish state.

According to the Daily Wire, the worst think about the Mayor’s actions and beliefs is that they are shared by younger Americans. A recent Manhattan Institute poll found that, while many Democrats disagree with Mayor Mamdani and Khalil’s stances, younger Democrats are different. According to the poll, 26% of 18-29 year-old Democrats believe that Israel is a “colonial apartheid state that must be dismantled.” 38% disagree with Israel’s official narrative on October 7, and 24% disagree with the widely-accepted narrative of the Holocaust in at least some way.

This all spells disaster for the future of the Democrat party and America. As the Daily Wire puts it, “The aging neoliberal Democrats still fancy themselves in charge of the situation. … With the rise of Mamdani and his cohort, that grip will be tested like it has not been in half a century. Do not be surprised when it fails.”

Mamdani represents a hatred for Israel that’s catching on among the youth. Let’s pray that this hatred stops here and that the youth of America would come to see Israel and the Jewish people as God does!
