    Reading Time: 3 minutes

Far-left activist groups tied to a global funding network traveled to Cuba in recent days, drawing scrutiny from U.S. officials and raising concerns about coordination with the island’s communist leadership. The developments come as the Trump administration signals a tougher stance on the Cuban regime.

Find out when your state prays.

    From Just the News:

The now-infamous scenes of far-left activists descending upon Cuba in recent days were preceded by high-level meetings between leaders within the Singham Network and the strongman head of Communist Cuba earlier this month.

Earlier in March, in the lead up to this past weekend’s events, the leaders of the Singham-linked People’s Forum, Tricontential: Institute for Social Research, Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER) Coalition, the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), and the International Peoples’ Assembly all traveled to Havana for a warm “solidarity” meeting with Miguel Díaz-Canel, the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba.

The so-called “humanitarian” trips to Cuba over the weekend — which continue to unfold this week — were in large part organized by groups within the activist network tied to and funded by wealthy Marxist and China-based businessman Neville Roy Singham, as well as by the far-left Progressive International (which counts the leftist anti-war group Code Pink, which is personally and financially tied to Singham, as one of its member organizations).

    Expanded Context

Neville Roy Singham has emerged as a key figure behind a wide-reaching network of activist organizations that share ideological alignment and, in many cases, financial backing. This network includes groups like the People’s Forum, Code Pink, and the Party for Socialism and Liberation, which frequently promote messaging critical of U.S. policy while expressing support for foreign regimes such as Cuba. Critics argue that the structure of this network allows for coordinated influence campaigns while maintaining the appearance of independent activism.

The meeting between these activists and Cuban leader Miguel Díaz-Canel underscores concerns about alignment between foreign governments and ideological movements operating in the United States. Cuban leadership openly welcomed the delegation, praising their “solidarity” with the revolution and positioning the relationship as part of a broader effort to counter U.S. influence. This public display of unity has intensified concerns that these trips are not merely humanitarian, but also political in nature.

At the same time, President Donald Trump and his administration have taken a firm stance on Cuba, describing the regime as a threat to U.S. national security and foreign policy. The administration has pointed to Cuba’s alignment with adversarial nations and support for hostile actors as justification for increased pressure, including economic measures and calls for leadership change on the island. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has also emphasized that Cuba’s current system is failing its people and requires significant reform.

A Call to Prayer for Intercessors

Intercessors, pray for the people of Cuba who are living under a system that limits freedom and opportunity. Ask God to expose deception, bring truth to light, and raise up leaders who will pursue justice and liberty. Pray also for discernment among Americans and for wisdom for President Donald Trump and U.S. leaders as they respond to these challenges.

Intercessor, share this article and pray for truth, freedom, and righteous leadership to prevail.
