Vice President JD Vance is signaling a renewed push to combat fraud across the United States, emphasizing accountability and protection of taxpayer-funded programs. The announcement comes as the administration seeks to restore trust in systems designed to help those in need.

    From Just the News:

Vice President JD Vance said Wednesday the Justice Department will no longer “turn a blind eye” to fraud in the United States, regardless of how big or small the fraud is.

Vance made the comment just before he swore Assistant Attorney General for National Fraud Enforcement Colin McDonald into office, who has been confirmed to help lead Vance’s national fraud task force.

The vice president claimed that the DOJ previously “turned a blind eye” toward fraud that was under an undisclosed dollar amount, but that McDonald has promised to ensure that “no fraud is small enough or big enough to look away from.”

Vice President Vance’s remarks reflect growing concern over the misuse of taxpayer-funded programs and the impact fraud has on both public resources and public trust. When fraud goes unchecked—even at smaller levels—it can create a culture where abuse is normalized and accountability is weakened

The administration’s renewed focus on prosecuting all levels of fraud signals an effort to restore deterrence. By ensuring that every case is taken seriously, leaders hope to discourage those who would exploit the system and reassure Americans that their tax dollars are being used appropriately.

For intercessors, this is a call to pray for integrity, justice, and accountability in our nation’s institutions. Let’s pray that those who commit fraud would be brought to justice, that systems would be strengthened against abuse, and that resources would reach those who truly need them.
