Are you weary of all the lies told by the Left each week? Certainly, they can become overwhelming, but as intercessors, we must never give up in the battle for truth. Thus, we must all put on the full armor of God and stand firm against deception.

Woman Fired for Antisemitic Rage
Hatred against Jews and Israel is a sad reality that flourishes in Leftist circles. This week, a former psychiatric nurse practitioner showed just how irrational and mentally deranged this hatred can be.
Jennifer Koonings was fired from her job at a mental health organization after she posted a video of herself calling a group of men “baby killers” as they sat peacefully in Times Square. Koonings stated that the men were “F****** Israelis,” and told them, “You guys killed babies in Palestine…slaughtered babies.”
The men ignored the enraged woman, but she continued to harass them, calling them “terrorists.” Fox News reports, “At one point in the video, a person in a Spider-Man costume attempts to stop the confrontation, telling Koonings that she knows nothing about the strangers and encouraging her to stop harassing them. Koonings says she does know that they’re Israeli, again saying that ‘they are baby killers’ before mocking the person dressed as Spider-Man.”
Koonings proudly posted a series of videos that went viral. The reaction was swift as large numbers of people began calling for her termination. After she was fired, she took to Instagram, boasting about her situation, rather than apologizing for her antisemitic behavior.
Kooning’s story is a sobering reality in a world where propaganda drives Leftist news outlets. Misinformed liberals are driven by rage, which is unleashed at a moment’s notice. This issue needs continual prayer, especially as antisemitic incidents increase. Intercessors must stand in the gap for the Jewish people and counter lies with truth.
Democrats are “Making Lists”
The next lie told by the Left this week comes from Colorado Congressman Jason Crow. This Leftist lawmaker recently declared that Democrats are “making lists of people” to go after in the Trump Administration.
“Accountability will come, sooner or later,” Crow publicly stated, “We are taking names. I’m creating my own lists of people [who] need to have oversight and accountability. And it is so important right now, that people understand, that if you’re in this administration, and you’re asked to violate the law, or violate your oath, or turn your back on the Constitution, then you will be judged…”
His comments have stirred up quite a reaction. A commentary on Twitchy pointed out, “The same lib media and Democrats who watched the justice system be weaponized for many years against their biggest political opponent are now accusing the Trump administration of ‘weaponizing’ the DOJ. That’s beyond shameless and laughable considering what we’ve all witnessed over the last several years. Now we’ve got a House Democrat talking about the lists he’s been making (along with other Dems in Congress) so the Left remembers who to go after if their party takes back control.”
Crow threatens, “You will be judged, one way or another…you cannot escape it…you can’t hide behind a mask, you can’t hide behind your desk, you can’t hide behind your title.” Recently, Congressman Crow also told American troops to “follow the Constitution” over Trump’s orders in Iran, warning that action could be unlawful. On CNN, he stressed that “it’s a very clear war crime if they follow through.” Many see Crow’s comments as “an attempt to undermine the command structure of the U.S. military.”
While lawmakers like Crow threaten conservatives and attempt to undermine national security, the truth is that their allegiance does not lie with the American people. They claim they are protecting the Constitution while, in fact, they are shredding it.
NBA Star Cut From Team After Sharing Biblical Truth
The next lie told by the Left this week revolves around a Christian basketball player in the NBA who was cut from his team because he spoke the truth about the LGBTQ agenda. The Chicago Bulls released Jaden Ivey after he posted his views about the NBA’s celebration of Pride Month. Team authorities stated that Ivey’s comments were “detrimental” because he likened celebrating Pride Month to celebrating unrighteousness.
“The world can proclaim LGBTQ, right?” Ivey stated in a video. “They proclaim Pride Month and the NBA. They proclaim it. They show it to the world. They say, ‘Come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.’ They proclaim it. They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim it in the streets. Unrighteousness. So, how is it that one can’t speak righteousness? Who are they to say that this man is crazy?”
Ivey appeared on a podcast, insisting, “My conduct was not detrimental to the team. That is a lie. I was a good teammate to those around me. I was a good teammate on the floor. I made the right plays. I did exactly what the coach asked me to do on a daily basis. Whatever was needed, whatever was required of me to do, I was willing. So, my conduct was not detrimental to the team. It is strictly because I spoke the truth of the Word of God and was preaching the Gospel. That’s why it was detrimental to the team. I witnessed to many on my team the truth and those things.”
Ivey emphasized, “Everyone has their beliefs. Everyone believes in something. If someone can speak and curse and speak about unrighteousness about whatever it may be, then I can speak the truth, and that’s because my God says to speak the truth to the lost, to those who don’t know Jesus, to those who are not born again.”
The Christian Post reports that less than a week after being released by the Chicago Bulls, Ivey was seen on the streets of Chicago, spreading the message of the gospel. In a viral video clip, he proclaims, “And eat of the Tree of Life. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
One pastor reacted, “He (Ivey) didn’t fold under pressure. While the world mocks him and cancels him, Heaven is celebrating his obedience. What good is it to gain the NBA, the money, the fame … and forfeit your soul? Jaden chose Jesus over the league…Respect. Keep pushing forward, brother. The same God who closed that door is opening a greater one. The world may reject you, but God is raising you up.”
Christian podcaster and pastor Josh Howerton discussed Ivey’s situation on a recent episode of his program by “framing it as a real-world test of Christian conviction in an increasingly hostile culture.” Charisma Magazine summarized Howerton’s comments. “Howerton pointed to the deeper issue behind the headlines. This is not just about one player or one comment. It is about a growing expectation that believers must not only tolerate cultural values but actively affirm them…Across industries, not just in the NBA, Christians are being asked to participate in messaging that directly conflicts with Scripture. For many, that moment becomes a line in the sand. It is no longer about staying quiet. It is about whether we will compromise. And that is why this moment resonates far beyond sports.”
Leftist organizations like the NBA are certainly not interested in pleasing God. Their loyalty lies with the latest political narrative, no matter how unrighteous it is. In the end, money is the name of the game, but Christians know that you cannot serve both God and money. In the case of the NBA, they have made their choice–money and lies.
Battling lies and unrighteousness is never easy, but it’s something we must do as followers of Jesus. We pray for steadfast courage and unwavering faithfulness as we face lies and deception on a daily basis. Give us discernment and wisdom, Lord Jesus.
These are just a few of the lies told by the Left this week. How are you praying?
