Tennessee has taken a bold stand for biblical values, designating June as “Nuclear Family Month” in a direct contrast to the nation’s long-standing celebration of Pride Month.

Connect with others in your state in prayer.

    From the Daily Wire:

Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee signed a resolution this month that designates June as a month for the state to celebrate the nuclear family, which the resolution defines as a husband, a wife, and any biological or adopted children.

“The nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God’s design for familial structure and has been the bedrock of society since the creation of the world,” the resolution states.

“Tennessee’s values do not align with the humanistic, globalist ideologies of the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and like-minded organizations that fight for population control through the means of promoting sterilization and abortion practices,” the Tennessee resolution continues, adding, “The nuclear family is under attack in our beloved State and nation, and it is our responsibility to uplift, protect, and support values that help Tennessee prosper.”

This resolution represents a clear rejection of the cultural shift that has dominated the month of June for decades. Since Bill Clinton first recognized Pride Month in 1999, many corporations, institutions, and government bodies have increasingly promoted LGBT ideologies—often at the expense of biblical truth and traditional family values.

Tennessee’s leaders are choosing instead to affirm what Scripture teaches: that the family, rooted in marriage between one man and one woman, is foundational to a healthy society. The resolution also points to the real-world consequences of broken families, highlighting a 2016 study that shows that, out of 56 school shooters, 82% “were raised in an unstable family environment or without both biological parents together.”

Unsurprisingly, leftist groups like GLAAD have reacted with outrage, criticizing lawmakers for what they claim is exclusionary. Yet as intercessors know, this move is not about exclusion—it is about restoring truth, protecting children, and honoring God’s design for the family.

Tennessee has already taken several steps in recent years to protect children and uphold parental rights, including banning gender procedures for minors and ensuring parents are not kept in the dark about decisions affecting their children. This latest resolution builds on that foundation, signaling a broader cultural pushback against ideologies that many Americans believe have gone too far.

As states like Tennessee take a stand, we must ask God to strengthen families, protect children, and turn hearts back to His design. Let’s pray for the nuclear family to be honored and protected—not just in Tennessee, but across America.

Share your praises and prayers for restoration and truth in the comments.
