“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2 (NKJV)
The vision God gives you is bigger than the present moment you are experiencing. Faith is the bridge between what God shows us and what we experience. We walk by faith, not by what we see. When our faith is strong, believing God’s promises is easy. Singing, praying, and declaring all things are possible is easy when life feels aligned with the vision. But when reality slams against us—when challenges, setbacks, and distractions appear, we must keep our eyes on God’s promises, not on the obstacles. “Wait on it,” God says. “Though it tarries, wait on it.”
There are always obstacles to God’s vision. First, present circumstances may not line up with what God has told you. Your business may struggle, your family may resist, or your health may falter. That’s why God said, “Write the vision.” Write it down so you can remember what God has said. The vision recorded overcomes the doubts your circumstances try to plant. When life seems impossible, return to the promise, because God’s Word is unchanging, and His timing is perfect.
Second, present resources may not match your vision. You may not have the finances, the connections, or the tools needed, but God provides provision for the vision. Vision attracts resources. Provision follows purpose. Big visions summon the people, the resources, and the ideas necessary to fulfill them. Dream big, because God’s vision is never limited by what you see in the moment.
Faith also calls us to step into the vision even when it feels impossible. God wants you to mingle His promise with your faith and take action. When God speaks, we walk toward it, not wait for it to happen magically. We do not live by the visible; we live by what God has spoken. Present challenges, limited resources, or doubts of the mind cannot change the promises of God. The vision God gives you is real. It will come to pass in His timing. Write it down. Believe it. Walk by faith through every obstacle. Stand on His Word. Step boldly into the future God is creating, because your faith activates His promise, and nothing can stop what God has spoken.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the visions You place in my heart. Help me to hold onto Your promises even when circumstances and resources seem limited. Teach me to walk by faith, not by sight, and to take bold steps toward what You have shown me. Lord, strengthen my faith to believe Your Word, write Your vision in my heart, and trust that You will provide all I need to fulfill it. Keep my eyes fixed on You, and remind me that nothing in my present reality can change the truth of Your promises. I step forward in obedience and faith, knowing that You are faithful to complete what You have begun in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
