The lies coming from the Left this week are outrageous and irrational, but this shouldn’t be a surprise. Lies are part of the political landscape, but this makes telling the truth all the more important and powerful.

Liberal Lawmaker Uses Bullhorn During Unhinged Rant
The first lie told by the Left this week comes from Florida State Representative Angie Nixon. The fired-up legislator used a bullhorn to disrupt a recent assembly meeting where lawmakers were voting on a redistricting bill.
The liberal Democrat walked across the House floor shouting, “I will not allow you to destroy our democracy. This is a violation of the Constitution! It is a violation of the Constitution.” She added, “I’m out of order, but what y’all are doing is illegal!”
Rep. Nixon, who is currently running for a seat in the U.S. Senate, believes that the bill, which would create up to four new Republican seats for Florida, is unconstitutional. In an X post, she claimed, “Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is rigging maps to steal four Democratic seats and kiss Trump’s a** because he needs a job! Help me stop it by rushing $5 to AngieNixon.com today.”
In spite of Rep. Nixon’s antics, the redistricting measure passed by a vote of 82 to 28, allowing it to advance to the state Senate.
This isn’t the first time Rep. Nixon has engaged in hostile behavior. The Libs of TikTok posted about her “unhinged meltdown” over a resolution to honor conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. Nixon declared that anyone who supported it was “a tool of white supremacy.”
The truth is that there’s a fierce battle over redistricting maps across the country. Just recently, the U.S. Supreme Court reversed a lower court ruling that blocked Texas from implementing its mid-decade redistricting of the state’s congressional map. Redistricting is nothing new, but the Left has a bad habit of losing its marbles if there’s even the slightest hint that liberalism may lose its edge. It goes without saying that this issue needs continual prayer.
Make Americans Great Assassins Again?
The next lie told by the Left this week is just another example of irrational and disturbing behavior that permeates the liberal mindset. This time, it’s a teacher at Kaukauna High School in Wisconsin who seems to think that assassinating the president is a good thing to do. The main problem, he laments, is that all the recent assassins are not living up to the job.
The Libs of TikTok posted the since-deleted comments of social studies teacher Patrick Meyer, who wrote, “I am not impressed with the recent presidential assassins. It’s f****** embarrassing. Booth, Guiteau Czolgosz, Oswald must all be spinning in their graves! MAGAA (make Americans great assassins again!) Sad.”
Screenshots were made of the post before it was taken down, so the truth could not be swept under the rug. The brazen, heartless tone of the teacher’s words as he condoned outright murder was hard for most users to stomach. U.S. Representative Tony Wied (R-WI) was outraged by the teacher’s vitriol. “This type of disgusting rhetoric has no place in our society and does not represent our values in #WI08. It is not the example that our teachers should be setting for Northeast Wisconsin students.”
As a result of his hate-filled post, Meyer has been placed on administrative leave. According to a Facebook post made by the Kaukauna Area School District, “The District has placed the employee on administrative leave and is taking additional action to review the matter in accordance with its policies and procedures. The Kaukauna Area School District is committed to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for all students, families, and staff, and unequivocally rejects any conduct, expression, or behavior that may encourage, condone, or promote violence in any form. The content of the employee’s social media post was not related to the Kaukauna Area School District, and there has been no evidence of a risk to the safety of our students and schools”.
One person responded to the post by saying, “Anyone who advocates any form of violence doesn’t belong teaching kids. Intelligent people know the difference between freedom of speech and advocating for violence.”
It’s a sad fact that we are living in a world where assassinations are being encouraged. Just recently, a Wisconsin brewery owner joked on social media after the assassination attempt on President Trump’s life at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He said, “Well, we almost got #freebeerday. Either a brother or sister in the Resistance needs to work on their marksmanship or he faked another assassination to get a positive news cycle. We’ll never know. Regardless, we stand at the ready to pour free beer the day it happens.”
Offering beer to celebrate an assassination is a new low, but we must counter this by praying to the Most High. We pray for repentance and revival in our schools and throughout the nation.
Basketball Team Finally Vindicated
The third lie told by the Left this week revolves around a basketball team that was punished for refusing to go along with the trans agenda. The issue began in 2023 when Mid Vermont Christian School “decided against sending its girls’ basketball team against a team with a ‘transgender’ student, a male posing as a girl.”
As a result, the school was banned from basketball games and even from all athletic and academic competitions per the Vermont Principals’ Association. A report explained, “The school was forced to arrange competitions with schools out of state just to make sure their extracurricular programs could continue. Instead of short bus rides to nearby schools, teams traveled hours across state lines. Familiar rivalries disappeared. Home gyms sat quieter.”
Mid Vermont Christian School was accused of “having the wrong beliefs” and violating nondiscrimination policies, but the glaring truth is that their Christian beliefs were being trampled upon by the VPA.
Thankfully, this injustice was overturned because now Mid Vermont Christian School will be awarded $566,000 for the blatant discrimination wrought by the Vermont Principals’ Association. The Alliance Defending Freedom took up the school’s case and reported, “Our client, Mid Vermont Christian School, has won more than half a million dollars after it was punished for standing up for women’s sports.” One of the judges on the case stated that the principals’ association acted with great hostility toward religion, but it also doled out a punishment that was “unprecedented, overbroad, and procedurally irregular.”
It’s wonderful when lies are overturned by the truth. The enemy seeks to damage and distort the identities of men and women today, and this is the main reason why the trans agenda exists. Now, more than ever, God’s people must stand up for what is true and righteous, regardless of the consequences. If God is for us, then who can be against us? We know that God is for preserving the identities of the precious young people in our schools around the nation. Let’s keep praying for more victories on and off the court.
Lord Jesus, sometimes the lies in this world are just too overwhelming. We need Your strength, endurance, and perspective as we fight for the truth like never before.
