As America prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, leaders and believers across the nation are calling for a renewed focus on God and the nation’s spiritual foundations. Speaking ahead of the upcoming “Rededicate 250” event on the National Mall, Ambassador Monica Crowley said America cannot be restored without returning to faith in God and the principles that guided the Founding Fathers.
Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.
From Breitbart:
“President Trump’s big project is to restore America back to her foundational principles of individual liberty, economic freedom, and self-governance, and restore power back to the people. That’s what Make America Great Again is really all about,” she said. “So in order to restore our nation back to those core pillars, you have to have God.”
“Our Founding Fathers in so many of their documents and their letters refer to God and how they couldn’t do what they did in establishing our exceptional country without the hand of God on them, and they recognized that at the time,” she said, explaining that, once again, America is in a position where it must realize that it cannot move forward without God’s help.
“So now here we are, 250 years later, restoring the Republic, and we certainly cannot do it without him. So this is why we decided that we were going to have the national prayer event on the National Mall as really the first big event to kick off a whole series of events of celebration,” she said, previewing Rededicate 250.
Crowley described the upcoming “Rededicate 250” gathering as far more than a patriotic celebration. According to her, the event is meant to serve as a national moment of prayer, repentance, thanksgiving, and spiritual renewal as America approaches its semiquincentennial anniversary. Organizers hope the event will unite believers from across the country in acknowledging God’s providence throughout American history and seeking His guidance for the future.
Her remarks also reflect a growing movement among Christians and conservative leaders who believe America has drifted away from its biblical foundations in recent decades. Crowley specifically pointed to the rise of modern progressivism and secularism as forces that have weakened the nation’s spiritual identity and moral clarity. For many believers, the call to “rededicate” America is ultimately a call to return to biblical truth and dependence on God.
America’s founding documents and early leaders repeatedly acknowledged God’s hand in the birth of the nation. Figures like George Washington openly expressed their belief that the success of the American experiment depended upon divine providence and moral virtue. Today, many Christians sense the nation has once again reached a critical crossroads requiring repentance, prayer, and spiritual awakening.
The upcoming Rededicate 250 event represents part of a broader effort taking place across the nation to recount God’s faithfulness, reclaim America’s spiritual foundations, and rededicate the country to the Lord as it enters its next chapter. Let’s thank God for this incredible event, and let’s pray it would be powerful!
