The Department of Justice has announced a major nationwide operation targeting child predators, resulting in hundreds of arrests and the rescue of vulnerable children. The sweeping effort highlights ongoing attempts by federal law enforcement to crack down on exploitation and protect America’s most innocent.

Hundreds of child sexual abuse victims were located and over 350 child sex abuse offenders arrested in April as a result of the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Operation Iron Pursuit.
Officials located over 200 children, and 350 child sex predators were arrested during the operation that ran from April 1 until April 30, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of New York announced Friday.
“All 56 FBI field offices and U.S. Attorneys, offices around the country participated in the coordinated takedown effort, including the Buffalo FBI Field Office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York,” the press release said.
Operation Iron Pursuit reflects a coordinated national effort to confront one of the darkest forms of evil facing our nation. Law enforcement agencies across the country worked together to identify victims, track down offenders, and remove dangerous predators from communities. The operation also reportedly resulted in the seizure of drugs and firearms, revealing the broader criminal networks often tied to child exploitation.
FBI Director Kash Patel has emphasized restoring trust in the bureau while shifting more agents and analysts out of Washington and into field offices nationwide. Supporters of these efforts argue that focusing resources on protecting children and combating violent crime represents a critical priority for federal law enforcement.
The operation follows additional recent crackdowns on child predators. Earlier this year, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the arrest of hundreds of illegal alien sex offenders in Texas. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said Operation Iron Pursuit sends a clear warning that those who exploit children “will be hunted down” and brought to justice.
