    Reading Time: 4 minutes

IFA Missouri State Leaders Larry and Pam Zook, like others, have been busy. Aside from weekly state prayer calls, they planned a rededication ceremony, during which they rededicated their Supreme Court to the Lord. They also recently participated in Missouri’s National Day of Prayer and, since then, have seen God’s gracious hand moving in their state.

    Pray for your fellow intercessor.

On May 7, 2026, across America, states celebrated the National Day of Prayer; it was no different for Missouri, which gathered in the Jefferson City State Capitol. There were between seventy and eighty people in the rotunda. Pam, Larry, and several IFA MO intercessors were in attendance. Several ministries gathered to pray, including IFA. The Secretary of State, Danny Hoskins, and Attorney General Catherine Hanaway were present, and both spoke and prayed. Pam said a Pastor from a church in Jefferson City also prayed and pleaded for people to pray for Pastors and leaders.

“AG Hanaway has such a tender heart towards law enforcement. We recently lost two deputy sheriffs in the line of duty. It affected her. She publicly declared that we need prayer. It was very sincere, a heartfelt plea to intercessors,” Pam said.

“We had set up the table and given brochures. There were about 70-80 people present in the rotunda. Intercessors drove three hours away from Missouri. There were a few from Kansas City, the Branson/Springfield area, and Jefferson City. I was invited to speak about IFA after AG Hanaway. I was a bit unprepared. I did not know I would be asked to speak,” Pam said.

“It was for two minutes, but in that time, I introduced myself and introduced IFA, what we do, and that we pray for our elected officials. I said we meet once or twice a week, and we pray for our leaders. While speaking, the Lord gave me two scriptures that I believe most intercessors know.”

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).

So, I sought for a man among them who would make a wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one (Ezekiel 22:30).

“People came and thanked us afterward for praying for them. Glory to God! Prayer is important. People were thanking AG Hanaway, and she came and hugged me and said, ‘Thank you for praying for us. Please don’t stop!”

Victory on the Heels of the National Day of Prayer

Like many states in America, Missouri has been battling sharia law, attempting to invade the state.  Pam inquired of the Senator’s Chief of Staff about an anti-Sharia bill, SB977. About six weeks ago, it was unanimously passed by the Senate. It hadn’t been brought to the floor in the House, so she followed up to know what had happened. Later that day, Pam received a text message saying the anti-Sharia bill had passed in the House. It was a tremendous answer to prayer.

Thank you, Lord, for what you are doing in Missouri and across our nation because of the faithfulness of intercessors. When you have an Attorney General asking for intercessors to pray for their state, you cannot deny that God is moving. This is becoming a common thread. Elected officials are not only asking for prayer but are also moved and thankful for IFA’s ministry and for people like you who faithfully intercede.

We are steadily approaching the halfway mark of 2026. Can you believe it? Let’s continue to move in unity, interceding for our leaders and for the Lord’s will to be done in our nation.
