The revelations are fueling renewed concerns about religious discrimination, political activism in sports, and growing corporate surveillance practices.
Pray for your fellow intercessor.
From AOL:
O’Keefe Media Group has released a new undercover report revealing that Sean Hudson, who is the Washington Nationals’ Director of Community Relations, admits to discrimination against starting pitcher Trevor Williams because of his Catholic faith, digitally surveilling fans who attend Nationals Park, and having a communist agenda.
Talking about Williams, Hudson stated that “he is very Catholic,” noting that the Los Angeles Dodgers featured a drag group that was anti-Catholic during a Pride Night they hosted. The group, which calls itself “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” was criticized after wearing nun costumes and performing on a crucifix.
…
“The Dodgers had a group out to the stadium who were drag queens who sometimes dressed up as nuns. [Williams] went on like a social media, like, ‘this is wrong, this is my religion, you all are mocking it,’” said Hudson, adding that “we don’t use him” on social media because he chose to speak out.
Trevor Williams has previously spoken publicly about his concerns regarding anti-Christian mockery in professional sports, particularly after the Los Angeles Dodgers honored the controversial “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” during a Pride Night event. Many Christians and Catholic leaders condemned the performance at the time as openly disrespectful toward the faith.
The undercover footage also drew attention for Hudson’s comments about fan surveillance and data collection practices inside Major League Baseball. According to the report, Hudson described how team officials categorize fans based on purchasing behavior, online activity, and browsing history in order to target them with customized messaging and content. Those remarks are likely to intensify ongoing national debates over digital privacy and the growing use of consumer data by major corporations and entertainment organizations.
Perhaps most controversially, Hudson allegedly described himself as “very far-left leaning,” referenced a “join the Communist Party” poster in his kitchen, and expressed interest in injecting redistributive political ideology into the game of baseball. He also reportedly dismissed concerns from fans who simply want sports to remain free from political activism.
The report further claims that the Nationals organization hosts identity-based meetings limited to women or LGBTQ employees, raising additional questions about workplace discrimination and ideological culture within professional sports organizations.
Many believers see stories like this as part of a broader cultural trend in which outspoken Christians increasingly face professional or social consequences for publicly expressing biblical convictions. Others warn that Americans should be paying close attention to the growing normalization of ideological litmus tests, surveillance practices, and hostility toward traditional faith values within influential cultural institutions.
