As June begins, the Trump administration is continuing a sharp departure from the policies and messaging of the Biden years. From the White House to American embassies around the world, federal agencies are largely absent from Pride Month observances, reflecting a broader shift in priorities and a renewed emphasis on national symbols and family-focused policies.

From Breitbart:
But this year, for the second year in a row, President Trump gave the American people what they wanted — what they voted for. No pride celebration. No proclamation demonizing parents against indoctrinating children. No lengthy diatribes. No secular agenda. The same federal agencies under the leadership of Biden — that celebrated the month — posted nothing about “pride” on June 1 under the leadership of President Trump.
These changes extend to the State Department, which has made a hard shift away from promoting pride and ungodly sexuality.
From The Daily Wire:
A separate State Department “One Flag Policy” also states that only the flag of the United States, a Prisoner of War/Missing in Action flag, or the Hostages and Wrongful Detainees flag may be flown or displayed at U.S. facilities worldwide. That memo, first reported by The Washington Free Beacon, specifically notes: “Examples: Posts should not fly or display the Pride or Progress flag at the U.S. Embassy.”
…
Asked by The Daily Wire on Monday if the White House will be observing Pride Month this June, a White House official responded: “We celebrate all Americans every day.”
The contrast between the Trump and Biden administrations on this issue could hardly be more striking. During President Biden’s tenure, federal agencies routinely promoted Pride Month through social media campaigns, official statements, and public events. In some cases, government offices changed logos and profile pictures to feature Pride imagery, while agencies highlighted LGBTQ initiatives and observances throughout June.
Under Secretary of State Marco Rubio, however, the State Department has implemented policies designed to eliminate government participation in non-official observances. The department’s guidance limits displays at U.S. facilities to authorized flags and restricts personnel from participating in official events recognizing theme-month celebrations that are not designated by presidential proclamation or federal law.
The changes extend beyond Washington. During the Biden administration, American embassies around the world were encouraged to participate in Pride celebrations, with some flying Pride flags prominently outside diplomatic facilities. The new guidance effectively ends that practice, emphasizing the display of the American flag as a unifying symbol representing all citizens.
The administration’s approach also appears to be influencing the private sector. After widespread consumer backlash in recent years, several major retailers have scaled back Pride-themed marketing campaigns and merchandise. Some companies that once heavily promoted Pride Month have reduced their public participation or altered their product offerings, particularly those aimed at children.
For many Americans, these developments represent a return to government neutrality on cultural issues and a renewed focus on shared national identity. Others view the changes as part of a broader effort by the administration to roll back policies and initiatives championed by progressive activists during the previous administration.
For intercessors, however, this moment highlights the importance of praying for our leaders as they navigate cultural debates that continue to shape the nation. We prayed for an end to the erosion of biblical truth under President Biden, and those prayers have been answered through President Trump. Let’s continue to pray for truth and wisdom for our leaders, as well as for policies that uphold God’s design for individuals, families, and society.
