From the Daily Wire:
President Donald Trump will appear on both nights of the first-ever midterm Republican National Convention next month in Dallas, Texas, The Daily Wire can first report, with his keynote address planned for night two.
“Americans want strong borders and sound immigration policies, not sanctuary cities and the unspeakable crimes that comes with them,” the messaging document said. “They want to continue to reap the profound benefits from the One Big Beautiful Bill: no tax on tips, new pathways to retirement savings, and a vibrant economy that lifts all boats. Parents want a common-sense approach to education, youth sports, and school choice — not a liberal lecture on transgender rights and those who think boys should be allowed to play in girls athletics.”
“President Donald Trump and Republicans have delivered historic results for the American people, and every hour of this historic convention will tell that story,” RNC Chairman Joe Gruters said. “Over two action-packed days, we will take Americans through the defining issues of our Party’s agenda and what is at stake in November.”
The convention, set for September 9-10, marks a historic first: it will be open to the public, with a limited number of free tickets distributed through a lottery, allowing everyday Americans to participate alongside candidates running in key races nationwide. Vance will deliver the keynote address on night one, while Trump takes the stage for the closing keynote at 9 p.m. Eastern on night two.
Night one will spotlight the Working Families Tax Cuts, efforts to root out government waste and fraud, and healthcare initiatives including the $50 billion Rural Health Transformation Program. Speakers will present “Two Visions for America,” contrasting Republican and Democrat policies, while calling for passage of the SAVE America Act, Trump’s major election reform initiative. The night will also highlight border security successes, including sixteen consecutive months of zero interior releases, religious freedom protections, and efforts to make cities like the nation’s capital safer and cleaner.
Night two will open by highlighting families benefiting from “No Tax on Tips, Overtime, and Social Security,” along with school choice expansions and the hostages Trump has brought home during his administration. Significantly, this night will also honor the legacy of Charlie Kirk on the one-year anniversary of his assassination, with organizers aiming to “convert that legacy into a call to mobilize voters,” echoing one of Kirk’s core goals through Turning Point USA. The evening will additionally recognize Angel Parents and border crime victims, and mark the 25th anniversary of September 11 alongside the children and families of first responders, before building toward Trump’s keynote address.
This convention arrives at a pivotal moment, as Republicans look to unify around a clear, consistent message while Democrats contend with a growing wave of Democratic Socialist of America-aligned candidates. The RNC’s own messaging frames the stakes in stark terms, describing the choice facing voters as one between prosperity and strength or an agenda “littered with far-left liberal ideology” that has damaged American cities and jobs. Whatever one’s political persuasion, this moment underscores how deeply divided the nation remains over its direction, and how much weight this midterm election is expected to carry. Scripture calls believers to pray for those in authority, that leaders would govern with wisdom and integrity, and that the nation would be led toward peace and righteousness (1 Timothy 2:1-4, Proverbs 29:2). Pray for clarity and truth to guide voters this election season, for unity that transcends political division, and for God’s hand over our nation’s leaders as they cast vision for the road ahead.
