December 4, 2025<\/span><\/p>\n Your \u201cYes\u201d Could Change Everything<\/strong><\/span> Lee en espa\u00f1ol<\/span><\/p>\n \u2018Return home and tell how much God has done for you.\u2019 So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.\u201d Luke 8:39 (NIV)<\/em><\/p>\n Do you ever find it stressful to talk about Jesus with friends and family members?<\/p>\n I understand. But we\u2019ve all got people in our lives who need us to break past our hesitations and share about Jesus, just like the man in Luke 8:39 did after Jesus healed him: \u201cSo the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n I was profoundly reminded of this several years ago when I spoke at a Pregnancy Care Center dinner in Florida. At the end of the night, the center\u2019s director asked a board member to close the evening in prayer. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this board member was a guy I\u2019d known in high school.<\/p>\n Well, let me clarify that. I knew who he was. He didn’t have a clue who I was.<\/p>\n He had been in the popular crowd, a star athlete who dated beautiful girls. I was one of those girls in high school who was easy to miss. I felt invisible back then.<\/p>\n Now, years later, he apologized for his wild behavior in high school and acknowledged he could have been voted \u201cleast likely to become a pastor.\u201d I wasn\u2019t exactly on the fast track toward ministry in high school, either, but God had a plan.<\/p>\n After we chatted for a few minutes, he got a very serious look on his face. Then he said something I won\u2019t soon forget.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know what is really odd, Lysa? All those years of high school, I was a very visible person. I had lots of friends. Then I got a college scholarship to play basketball, and even more people knew me. But no one \u2014 no family member, no peer, no girlfriend, no teacher, no coach \u2014 ever told me about Jesus. Finally, when I was 21 years old, someone took that chance to share with me how they met Jesus, and it radically changed my life.\u201d<\/p>\n His statement startled me. And I hope it startles me the rest of my life.<\/p>\n No one is beyond the reach of truth. Not the wispy, invisible girl in the background. And not the star athlete revered by thousands.<\/p>\n Everyone deserves to hear about Jesus, sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n And we must never assume that someone else will tell them \u2014 or that someone else would do a much better job than we would. We simply have to say \u201cyes\u201d to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to share with that one<\/em> person.<\/p>\n Who in your sphere of influence needs to hear a bit of your story this week? Don\u2019t let Satan whisper that this message is meant for other people. It\u2019s not. If you read this, it\u2019s meant for you.<\/p>\n And don\u2019t fret trying to figure out the perfect words to say. It\u2019s as simple and beautiful as Jesus\u2019 command to \u201ctell how much God has done for you\u201d<\/em> (Luke 8:39).<\/p>\n You don\u2019t even have to worry about how to arrange the perfect connection with that person who came to mind. Just tell Jesus you are willing. He\u2019s very capable of handling all the details. Our job is obedience. God\u2019s job is results.<\/p>\n And your \u201cyes\u201d could change everything.<\/p>\n Dear Lord, thank You for loving me before I even knew You. Give me Your eyes and Your heart to see anyone who needs to know about You today. Give me the right words and the necessary courage to share with my friends and family members.
