New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani still has weeks to go before he takes office, but he\u2019s already making waves. In his most recent controversy, the Mayor-elect posted a video to X teaching illegal immigrants how to evade ICE.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cLast weekend, ICE attempted to raid Canal Street and detain our immigrant neighbors,\u201d Mamdani said in the video posted to X on Sunday. \u201cAs mayor, I\u2019ll protect the rights of every single New Yorker. And that includes the more than 3 million immigrants who call this city their home.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\u2026\n<\/p>\n

\u201cICE cannot enter into private spaces like your home, school, or private area of your workplace without a judicial warrant signed by a judge,\u201d Mamdani said.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have the right to say, \u2018I do not consent to entry,\u2019 and the right to keep your door closed,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Mayor-elect Mamdani showed an example of a warrant, telling New Yorkers to resist law enforcement officers if they do not produce the correct paperwork. He also encouraged his viewers to film officers and protest throughout the city.\n<\/p>\n

The Gateway Pundit notes this video came on the heels of a recent disrupted ICE raid in Chinatown. Agents were prevented from leaving when nearly 200 protesters blocked the exit of a parking garage.\n<\/p>\n

Mayor-elect Mamdani\u2019s video comes at a time when threats against and attacks on ICE agents are on the rise. As these agents work to keep us safe, New York City\u2019s next mayor is telling criminals how to avoid them.\n<\/p>\n

This video is concerning and we as intercessors should take it as a call to pray. Let\u2019s pray for ICE agents as they work to keep us safe, and let\u2019s pray that city and state officials would work with, not against them!\n<\/p>\n
