Amid the chaos, however, Speaker Mike Johnson suggested to reporters that he\u2019s working with Republicans to craft a new plan.\n<\/p>\n<h4>Visit your state page to pray.<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>From the Daily Caller:\n<\/p>\n<p>Senate Democrats and Republicans each\u00a0rejected\u00a0the other\u2019s\u00a0healthcare plan\u00a0Thursday, as dueling votes on extending enhanced ACA subsidies and expanding Health Savings Accounts both failed amid leaders declaring the opposing plans \u201cdead on arrival.\u201d Johnson spoke briefly to reporters in the Capitol, saying that he and his conference are crafting a plan that goes beyond the Democrats\u2019 push to extend enhanced Obamacare subsidies.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2018ve spoken to all my colleagues. We\u2018ve all worked around the clock to try to come up with a solution that satisfies the needs of all of our constituents,\u201d Johnson said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2018re working on a package of legislation that will reduce premiums for all Americans, not just 7% of them,\u201d Johnson told Raju. \u201cAnd I\u2018ve been talking to every one of these colleagues in tough districts about that. So, stay tuned, there\u2019s more to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Democrats had initially sought to extend soon-expiring Obamacare subsidies for another three years. Republicans, meanwhile, had hoped to pass the Health Care Freedom for Patients Act, which would have allowed the Obamacare subsidies to expire and instead steer around $1,000 into Health Savings Accounts tied to Bronze or Catastrophic ACA plans.\n<\/p>\n<p>Republicans, including the President, have rallied behind the idea of giving money directly to Americans instead of insurance companies.
