{"id":12626,"date":"2025-12-16T17:59:56","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T17:59:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=12626"},"modified":"2025-12-16T17:59:56","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T17:59:56","slug":"informal-discussions-continue-wels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=12626","title":{"rendered":"Informal discussions continue \u2013 WELS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>Leaders from The Lutheran Church\u2014Missouri Synod (LCMS), the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS), and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) gathered last week near Jacksonville, Fla., for two days of theological and church-focused conversation.<\/p>\n<p>Leaders from these church bodies have been meeting annually for more than a decade. As they have been in the past, the meetings were frank, enjoyable, and informative. This year the discussions centered on the synods\u2019 understanding of joint prayer and prayer fellowship and how those have been viewed historically by the three synods.<\/p>\n<p>We give thanks for these continued conversations and for all who serve Christ and his church.<\/p>\n<p><em>Pictured above are the synods\u2019 three presidents (left to right): Rev.
