Tata\u00a0said\u00a0Monday.\n<\/p>\n<p>Tate credited\u00a0President Donald Trump\u00a0and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth with the influx of new recruits.\n<\/p>\n<p>Trump and Hegseth \u201care focused on our troops and our mission, and on ensuring that we remain the most lethal fighting force on the\u00a0planet,\u201d\u00a0Tate said.\n<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, every active-duty branch of the military met or exceeded its recruitment goal, the\u00a0DOW reported:\n<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Army had a goal of 61,000 recruits and\u00a0attained\u00a062,050, totaling 101.72% of its goal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Navy had a goal of 40,600 recruits and\u00a0attained\u00a044,096, totaling 108.61% of its goal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Air Force had a goal of 30,100 recruits and\u00a0attained\u00a030,166, totaling 100.22% of its goal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Space Force had a goal of 796 recruits and\u00a0attained\u00a0819, totaling 102.89% of its goal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Marine Corps had a goal of 26,600 recruits and\u00a0attained\u00a026,600, totaling 100% of its goal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional\u00a0factors\u00a0are contributing\u00a0to the recruiting surge,\u00a0such as\u00a0\u201ccourses that help improve overall aptitude among recruits\u00a0and enhanced medical screening processes,\u201d the Pentagon reported.\n<\/p>\n<p>Recruitment for fiscal year 2026, which began\u00a0Oct. 1, is already off to a strong start, according to Tate, who says the DOW \u201cis on track to once again meet our recruiting\u00a0mission.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>The Pentagon\u00a0touted\u00a0the success of its fiscal year recruitment\u00a0numbers\u00a0the same day\u00a0that\u00a0Trump announced a new class of American\u00a0battleships.\n<\/p>\n<p>Trump made the announcement alongside Hegseth, Secretary of State\u00a0Marco Rubio, and Navy Secretary John Phelan\u00a0at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs\u00a0commander in chief, it\u2019s my great honor to announce that I have approved a plan for the Navy to begin the construction of two brand-new, very large, largest we\u2019ve ever built, battleships,\u201d\u00a0Trump said.\n<\/p>\n<p>The ships, which Trump says will be part of a new\u00a0\u201cgolden fleet\u201d\u00a0of\u00a0warships, are currently in the design phase.\n<\/p>\n<p>The USS Defiant\u00a0will be the first ship to be constructed,\u00a0with a goal of completion by\u00a0the\u00a0\u00a0early\u00a02030s, according to the Pentagon.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe\u00a0future Trump-class battleship, the USS Defiant, will be the largest, deadliest and most versatile and best-looking warship anywhere on the world\u2019s oceans,\u201d\u00a0Phelan\u00a0said.\n<\/p>\n<h4>Are you encouraged by this news?
