According to the report, the Biden administration gave rental assistance to thousands of deceased tenants, and even some tenants who may have been non-citizens.\n<\/p>\n<h4>Join others crying out to the Lord day and night.<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>From Fox News:\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">The recipients included approximately 30,000 deceased tenants and thousands of potential non-citizens, according to a copy of HUD\u2019s \u201cAgency Financial Report\u201d for fiscal year 2025 obtained by the\u00a0New York Post.\n<\/p>\n<p>HUD officials told the Post that a \u201clarge concentration\u201d of the funds went to New York, California and Washington, D.C., with deceased recipients getting funds in all 50 states.\n<\/p>\n<p>The department conducted an automation that compared a U.S. Treasury database to HUD\u2019s records. The process uncovered 30,054 deceased tenants who were either actively enrolled in rental assistance programs or had received assistance after they passed, according to\u00a0HUD\u2019s report.The department found the possibly problematic payments through its own\u00a0internal financial review\u00a0and analytics, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>In FY 2024, HUD reportedly distributed around $50 billion in rental assistance to non-federal entities, with $5.8 billion of that $50 billion being described by the report as \u201cquestionable payments.\u201d The report blamed Biden for the fraud, with Secretary Turner saying in a statement that the former administration \u201cincentivized\u201d the fraud by \u201cfail[ing] to implement strong financial controls resulting in billions worth of potential improper payments.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Fox notes that, following the report, HUD is now confirming exactly how much fraud occurred in order to \u201cdetermine whether funding should be paused or revoked and if\u00a0criminal referrals are necessary.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Fraud is, unfortunately, nothing new in America.
