{"id":14757,"date":"2026-01-02T13:21:02","date_gmt":"2026-01-02T13:21:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=14757"},"modified":"2026-01-02T13:21:02","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T13:21:02","slug":"new-details-emerge-on-venezuela-port-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=14757","title":{"rendered":"New Details Emerge on Venezuela Port Attack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n              <span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time:<\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump on Monday confirmed reports of a United States drone attack on a Venezuelan port last week, telling reporters the target was a loading area for drugs.\n<\/p>\n<h4>Get prayer updates from IFA.<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, CNN\u00a0reported\u00a0the Central Intelligence Agency carried out a drone strike on a Venezuelan port earlier in December, the first known U.S. attack inside the country, as\u00a0Trump\u2019s\u00a0military and economic pressure campaign appears to intensify.\n<\/p>\n<p>CNN, citing anonymous sources, reported the attack \u201ctargeted a remote dock on the Venezuelan coast that the US government believed was being used by the\u00a0Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua\u00a0to store drugs and move them onto boats for shipping.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>The report added there were no casualties, since \u201cno one was present at the facility at the time it was struck.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Trump himself appeared to acknowledge the attack in a radio interview last week,\u00a0saying\u00a0on Friday that the United States had struck a \u201cbig facility where ships come from.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo nights ago, we knocked that out. So we hit them very hard,\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, he gave more details on the operation to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, where he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a major explosion in the dock area where they load the boats up with drugs,\u201d Trump said. \u201cThey load the boats up with drugs. So, we hit all the boats, and now we hit the area. It\u2019s the implementation area, that\u2019s where they implement, and that is no longer around.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Trump has said that\u00a0Venezuelan President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro\u2019s\u00a0\u201cdays are numbered\u201d when asked if he wishes for regime change in Venezuela.\n<\/p>\n<p>Trump told reporters on Monday that he had spoken with Maduro \u201cpretty recently,\u201d while adding, \u201cbut nothing much comes of it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>The Trump administration has pressured the Maduro regime with a blockade on its oil trade, as well as conducting strikes on vessels in the Caribbean operated by alleged Venezuelan narco-terrorists.\n<\/p>\n<h4>What do you think of this attack on Venezuela?
