These principles were meant to strip away the excesses of institutional religion and bring the church back to its center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But somewhere along the way, \u201cScripture alone\u201d morphed into \u201cevery verse carries the same weight.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Joshua equals Paul equals Leviticus equals Jesus \u2014 a flat reading that lets us ignore the One who stands at the center of the story.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What if Sola Scriptura were recalibrated?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What if \u201cScripture alone\u201d meant \u201cScripture interpreted through the words of Christ alone\u201d?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That principle has a name:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Sola Verba Christi \u2014 the Words of Christ Alone<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not a rejection of the Bible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not a dismissal of the canon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But a return to the voice Jesus Himself said was final:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cYou have heard it said\u2026 but I say unto you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is the heartbeat of Sola Verba Christi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jesus isn\u2019t one voice among many. He is the voice that interprets every other voice.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The Red Letters as the Center of Gravity<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a red-letter reading of the faith, the teachings of Jesus do not simply inspire\u2014weigh\u2014they decide. They become the plumb line of Christian interpretation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everything else is commentary.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If Moses says one thing and Jesus says another, Jesus wins.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If Paul sounds harsher or narrower than Jesus, Jesus sets the tone.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If church tradition drifts from Jesus\u2019 mercy, Jesus pulls us back.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is not rebellious.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is obedience to Jesus\u2019 own command:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cHear Him.\u201d (Mark 9:7)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The early church did not begin with a full New Testament.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They began with a Person, His teachings, His example, and His Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everything else was secondary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sola Verba Christi restores that priority.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The Sermon on the Mount Becomes the Constitution<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under Sola Verba Christi, the Sermon on the Mount doesn\u2019t become a poetic suggestion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It becomes the blueprint.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This means the center of Christian life is not doctrinal performance, but relational transformation:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enemy-love instead of vengeance<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mercy instead of measurement<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Humility instead of self-importance<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forgiveness instead of scorekeeping<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Faith, hope, and love instead of fear, suspicion, and rivalry<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are not optional upgrades for super-Christians.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are the non-negotiable features of the Kingdom Jesus describes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If we take His words seriously, Christianity becomes surprisingly simple:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follow Jesus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do what He said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shape your life by His ethic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let His words interpret everything else.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>A Faith Measured by Fruit, Not Correctness<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jesus rarely talked about \u201cright beliefs.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He talked about fruit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He talked about the shape of a life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u201cBy their fruits you will know them.\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014 Jesus, Matthew 7:16<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If faith doesn\u2019t produce mercy in the world, it isn\u2019t faith.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If grace doesn\u2019t make us gracious, we haven\u2019t received it yet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If Scripture doesn\u2019t lead us toward Christlikeness, then we\u2019re reading it wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sola Verba Christi calls us away from the performance anxiety of doctrinal precision and back to the relational clarity Jesus gave:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLove one another as I have loved you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is the test.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is the measure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is the evidence.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>A Christianity Normal People Can Recognize Again<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the reasons so many people have walked away from church is that Christianity no longer looks like its Founder. It looks like debates, power struggles, and doctrinal territorialism.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But when Jesus\u2019 words lead, the faith becomes recognizable again:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A people who bless instead of curse<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A community who defends the vulnerable<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A spirituality marked by compassion, not suspicion<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A movement shaped by mercy instead of judgment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A table where the unwanted are seen, honored, and fed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sola Verba Christi brings Christianity back into alignment with the beating heart of Jesus \u2014 a faith the weary can trust again and the wounded can approach without fear.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The Red Letters Reveal Our Real Identity<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jesus never divided humanity into insiders and outsiders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He divided people by their fruit \u2014 by the way they treat others, by the shape of their heart, by the presence or absence of compassion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The red letters remind us that God recognizes His own by the way we love, not by the way we categorize.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For people who have been misjudged or dismissed by religious institutions, Sola Verba Christi is liberation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It tells them:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIf goodness rises in you, if compassion pulls on you, if mercy matters to you, then you reflect the Father \u2014 whether anyone ever told you or not.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is a theology that heals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is a theology that restores dignity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is a theology centered on Jesus rather than gatekeepers.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Why This Matters Now<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We live in an age where Christianity is being pulled in a thousand directions \u2014 politicized, weaponized, and bent into shapes Jesus never blessed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sola Verba Christi cuts through all of it and asks one question:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhat did Jesus say?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not what did we inherit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not what did we build.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not what did we systematize.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But what did He say, and will we follow Him?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Returning to the red letters is not an escape from the rest of Scripture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the key that makes the rest intelligible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the lens Jesus Himself gave us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And it brings the faith back to what it was always meant to be:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A movement of love, formed by Christ, fueled by grace, grounded in mercy, and bearing fruit that heals the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s Sola Verba Christi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s the way of Jesus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The real one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The red-letter one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The One worth following.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For five hundred years, Protestants have rallied around the Five Solas \u2014 Scripture alone, faith alone, grace alone, Christ alone, and the glory of God alone.
