The Rev. Franklin Graham issued an urgent call to prayer this week, encouraging Americans to come together to collectively seek God \u2014 a move he believes is essential for a nation embroiled in moral confusion.<\/p>\n
Listen to the latest\u00a0episode\u00a0of \u201cQuick Start\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cOur nation is falling so far from God and His truth,\u201d Graham told CBN News.<\/p>\n The Samaritan\u2019s Purse CEO cited as evidence the confusion he observed this week at the U.S. Supreme Court, where justices are currently weighing whether states can preclude biological men from participating in women\u2019s sports.<\/p>\n Graham said 10 years ago, such an argument wouldn\u2019t have been entertained.<\/p>\n \u201cThis \u2026 just shows you the confusion,\u201d he said. \u201cThen we see the riots that [have] taken place in many of our streets, the anger that\u2019s boiling over in the streets. Iran right now is burning \u2026 Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, Ukraine, Gaza \u2014 all of this. \u2026 It seems like the world is about to implode.\u201d<\/p>\n With that uncertainty, Graham is pushing for people \u201cto pray\u201d and \u201crepent as a nation.\u201d The son of the late evangelist Billy Graham also encouraged people to pray for President Donald Trump and other U.S. leaders, asking God to guide them in making \u201csuch critical decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe need to repent of our sins and turn from those sins,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd we need to repent of our own sins, not just the nation\u2019s sins, but \u2026 our personal sins and ask God to forgive us.\u201d<\/p>\n Ultimately, Graham said the dysfunction unfolding simply shouldn\u2019t be happening and said clinging to God is the solution America needs.<\/p>\n \u201cWe need God\u2019s help, and we need just to surrender ourselves to Him,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd, as a nation, repent.\u201d<\/p>\n With so much chaos unfolding not just in America, but in the Middle East \u2014 from Israel to Iran and everything in between \u2014 some might be looking at these events and trying to process theological beliefs about eschatology and the end times. Graham addressed this as well.<\/p>\n \u201cI believe most people who read the Bible and study Scripture feel that we\u2019re in those last days,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd how many days are in the last days? No one knows. There could be another 100 years or more, but we all believe that we\u2019re getting close to the end, and so we need to be watching. The Bible tells us to watch. Christ could return at any minute, and so we need to be ready.\u201d<\/p>\n Part of that readiness, he said, is confessing sins and repenting and making sure \u201cour house is in order.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Rev.
