The first is Valentine social media campaigns designed to point people to the love of God. The second is Valentine events designed to help couples develop loving, Christ-centered relationships.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>11 Church Valentine Ideas for Social Media<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As you consider various social media ideas, remember that social media has (at least) two purposes.\u00a0 First, it can lead to discussion, engagement, and deeper relationships among the people who are already a part of your church.<\/p>\n<p>Second, it can help people who are not a part of your church to connect with Christians and to hear Christian perspectives on love and relationships. In other words, church Valentine ideas for social media are good church outreach ideas.<\/p>\n<p>1) Maybe a \u201clove your neighbor\u201d campaign type thing\u2026.??\u00a0@PastorJenna<\/p>\n<p>2) We are posting daily \u201clove\u201d scripture texts on FB. Pleasantly surprised how many people click on them to read them. @revjenn<\/p>\n<p>3) Connect with people who feel a little more lonely on #ValentinesDay, and invite them in to community.\u00a0@crazypastor<\/p>\n<p>4) Valentine\u2019s Day is another big Chocolate day. Another chance to educate about fair trade and justice.\u00a0@FatPastor<\/p>\n<p>5) I will probably post about the real\u00a0Valentine @PastorJoelle<\/p>\n<p>6) Our school kids are making ecards that the senior citizens in the computer learning class will open\u00a0@Conductor222<\/p>\n<p>7) How about making\/sharing a meme of Jesus with the caption: Who love you, baby? @RevWeb<\/p>\n<p>8) Remind everyone they are loved EVERYDAY! #YouAreBeloved @thelepper<\/p>\n<p>9) Used 1 Cor 13 on blog to talk about God\u2019s love through storytelling\u00a0@caseyfitzgerald<\/p>\n<p>10) Flip the script \u2013 tell the world that God\u2019s LOVE is for creation, animals, people \u2013 not just romantic love @J_at_Seminary<\/p>\n<p>11) I could envision an Instagram\/twitter campaign to post pictures answering question, \u201cWhat is love?\u201d @FatPastor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bonus:<\/strong> It\u2019s also the perfect excuse to quote risqu\u00e9 verses from Song of Solomon. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<h2><strong>11 Church Valentine Ideas for Events<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Just as Valentine\u2019s Day social media ideas can impact both the people who are already a part of your church as well as those who are not a part of it, church Valentine events can impact both groups as well.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone wants to love and be loved!\u00a0 This includes Christians and non-Christians, those who are a part of your church and those who aren\u2019t. So, when you do these church Valentine\u2019s Day events, be sure to communicate them both inside and outside your community of believers.<\/p>\n<p>1) Hold a Blood Drive and hand out chocolates to blood donors! @MeredithGould<\/p>\n<p>2) Our church is doing vow renewals \u2013 should publicize on soc.med. @vcwoodbury<\/p>\n<p>3) Free childcare for church families by the youth group. -Melissa Bull<\/p>\n<p>4) We do a \u201cLove Week\u201d campaign and encourage serving the community and random acts of kindness. -Carly Byram<\/p>\n<p>5) Our student ministry holds a Valentines Gala each year. One of our guys who volunteers with them is a chef and has the kids cook a 5star meal, our associate pastor is a photographer so each couple gets their pic taken, also a silent auction, and entertainment. $30 per person. It\u2019s their biggest fundraiser each year -Sherry Polk<\/p>\n<p>6) We do an event called The Great Date Night where we bring in a comedian or entertainer and provide childcare. -Meredith Thompson<\/p>\n<p>7) Father daughter dance. -Delores Eilrich<\/p>\n<p>8) Our student ministry does singing telegrams in our AM\/PM services the Sunday before Valentine\u2019s Day. They also deliver goodies\/flowers on Valentine\u2019s day. It\u2019s a great fundraiser for them and probably their biggest all year. -Kristin Coats<\/p>\n<p>9) We\u2019re having a children\u2019s ministry serve project making v-day cards for nursing home residents that will be delivered early next week for distribution by the nursing home staff. -Almeda McMullen Smith<\/p>\n<p>10) We have a Love out Loud Day on the 13th at our local food pantry. Providing an extra bag of pantry staples to 330 families! -Veronica P Brunson<\/p>\n<p>11) XO Marriage conference simulcast in our church. We do a catered meal on Friday night.
