The Minneapolis anti-ICE protests are a sign that we are a divided nation. Propaganda and lies are making the situation worse. Our country needs the Lord Jesus Christ and the truth that comes from following Him.\n<\/p>\n

Violence and Love?<\/h2>\n

There are lots of lies circulating about the Minneapolis protests, but this one is a real whopper. It involves Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who claims that the violent protests against ICE are a beautiful way of showing love. While appearing on ABC\u2019s This Week<\/em>, hosted by Jonathan Karl, Frey stressed, \u201cI think it\u2019s important to tell the whole country that this is not just about resistance here in Minneapolis, it\u2019s about love.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

The lovey-dovey Frey is so wrapped up in hugs and kisses that he ignores the violent tactics that are being inflicted upon ICE agents while trying to do their job. Who knew that cursing, yelling death threats, punching, tackling, using cars as weapons, and storming into churches were all actions of love? Apparently, the mayor\u2019s definition defies all logic and dictionary definitions.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are showing something far more powerful and consequential here, which is love. We are standing up for one another. You\u2019ve got neighbors helping neighbors. You\u2019ve got people uniting and coming together in this beautiful way,\u201d gushed Mayor Frey.\n<\/p>\n

Apparently, unchecked lawlessness and chaos are \u201cbeautiful\u201d expressions of love. But the U.S. Justice Department isn\u2019t buying into this charade. They vowed to open an investigation into the disruptions, using the \u201cfull force of federal law.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

On CNN\u2019s \u201cState of the Union,\u201d Mayor Frey insisted that Minneapolis would be \u201ccalm\u201d again if federal agents would just leave. \u201cWe want to get back to a place where we can just love on our city, do our daily activities, just like any other town in America.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

That sounds all warm and fuzzy, but the problem is that Frey\u2019s words are big, fluffy lies. The truth is that rampant fraud, theft, and criminal activity abounds in his sanctuary city. If he really wants to show love, he should follow the law by protecting legal American citizens instead of thieves and fraudsters.\n<\/p>\n

Mobs and Mistaken Identity<\/h2>\n

The second lie involving the Minneapolis protests is a tangled tale of mistaken identity. It all began when a group of unlucky software engineers was misidentified as ICE agents by an angry mob of protesters. The men were enjoying their lunch when suddenly they found themselves, and the deli they were eating in, surrounded.\n<\/p>\n

Ironically, one of the men who was misidentified as an ICE agent belongs to an anti-ICE Signal chat and is \u201con the anti-ICE side politically.\u201d Before the confrontation, he received a message from SW Minnesota Rapid Response, which claimed that \u201cplainclothes ICE agents were dining at the restaurant.\u201d This message stated that the presence of ICE agents had been \u201cconfirmed by the owner\u201d of the deli.\n<\/p>\n

The group of software engineers was shocked upon realizing that they<\/em> were the ones identified as the ICE agents. The men ventured outside the restaurant, only to be accosted by protesters yelling, \u201cI hope you die,\u201d while others called them \u201cpedophiles.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

The software engineers addressed the protesters, explaining, \u201cWe do custom apps for a whole bunch of companies around Minnesota and the country.\u201d One asked, \u201cDo I look like an ICE agent?\u201d This response only angered the mob more, who responded with \u201cYeah, you look like a f****** ICE agent,\u201d and \u201cGet the f*** out,\u201d while blowing whistles.\n<\/p>\n

The \u201cringleader\u201d of the protesters raged that the software engineers were \u201cwhite privileged males\u201d who deserved what was happening to them. One man, identified as Lee, shared, \u201cOne of us is pro-ICE, one anti-ICE, others on the fence. After this, I think some of them are rethinking everything.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

The Left will always show its true colors. They are more interested in causing division and chaos than in any real change. The irrational nature of the anti-ICE protests in Minnesota is opening the eyes of many people who are beginning to understand that the protests are not about protecting the lives of illegal immigrants, but rather tearing down the nation that gives rights to legal citizens.\n<\/p>\n

Teacher Insults Student Defending ICE<\/h2>\n

The third lie related to the Minneapolis protests is both disturbing and infuriating because it involves students who go to school to be educated, not indoctrinated. A social studies teacher and Gender and Sexuality Alliance adviser at Becker High School in Becker, Minnesota, is seen in a widely circulated video arguing with a student about the shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis. Some students defended the ICE agent\u2019s actions in the confrontation, but the teacher, identified as Dr. Heather Abrahamson, insisted that \u201cYour job as a police officer is to de-escalate.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

In the video, one student points out, \u201cIt was a split second.\u201d The teacher responds, \u201cNo, because watch the video. He was not in danger!\u201d A student states, \u201cJust because you\u2019re yelling does not mean you\u2019re winning an argument.\u201d Abrahamson reacts, \u201cJust because you\u2019re alive doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019re intelligent.\u201d Another student who overheard the teacher\u2019s comment questioned, \u201cYou just gonna take that man? She just called you stupid.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

Nowadays, educators are teaching more than reading, writing, and arithmetic. Instead, some are pushing activism and social justice. Political views and opinions are treated as part of the social studies curriculum, but no one is allowed to object.\n<\/p>\n

This is certainly a disturbing trend, but this is why we must continue praying and informing others about what\u2019s really going on. The battle for truth is raging, but we are not powerless. Now more than ever, it\u2019s time to put on the full armor of God and stand against the schemes of the enemy.\n<\/p>\n

Lord Jesus, our nation is experiencing great division. We need Your strong hand to intervene and guide us to peace and healing amongst the chaos. Have mercy on our country.\n<\/p>\n
