On the heels of a Super Bowl victory, the general manager for the Seattle Seahawks is sharing his faith in an unconventional way.<\/p>\n
During his team\u2019s hometown parade on Wednesday, John Schneider threw miniature Jesus figurines to fans gathered on 4th Avenue in downtown Seattle, along the parade route for the NFL victors.<\/p>\n
He tossed the figurines \u2014 each emblazoned with the simple message \u201cJesus loves you\u201d \u2014 dozens at a time.<\/p>\n
Schneider, a Catholic, is at home with the Seahawks, a team full of men of faith, as\u00a0CBN News previously reported. Dozens of players attend weekly Bible studies in the team\u2019s Seattle locker room.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey bring the same seriousness they have on the field to how they live their lives according to God\u2019s Word,\u201d said Scott Lindsey, media relations director for Logos, after he led one of the studies.<\/p>\n
It means a lot, he told CBN News, for people like Schneider, Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp, and New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye to speak openly about their Christian convictions.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou think about how popular and well-known quarterbacks are and to see young people, you know, their idol, if you will, their sports person, talking about their love of Jesus \u2014\u00a0that is so encouraging to young people to be that bold,\u201d he said. \u201cEvery time there\u2019s a mic in their mouth, it\u2019s just awesome to see them giving glory to God.\u201d<\/p>\n
