He is love. Therefore, his love doesn\u2019t give up on us. He\u2019s faithful even when we aren\u2019t. We fail, doubt, rebel, or wander away, but God stays resolute in his love and desire to see the best for us. He doesn\u2019t leave us. God is omnipresent. Where could we go? When we struggle or reject him, he pursues, and his long-suffering calls us back to himself.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jeremiah 31:3 quotes God saying, \u201cI have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.\u201d God\u2019s love doesn\u2019t wane or fade, doesn\u2019t depend upon us. It flows from who he is as a loving Father who won\u2019t stop loving us. He doesn\u2019t break promises or covenants.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Peter denied Jesus three times the night before the crucifixion. At Jesus\u2019 lowest point, Peter abandoned the Master (John 18:15-27). And yet, after the resurrection, Jesus restored Peter, addressing the issue and returning the disciple to his purpose (John 21:15-17). God didn\u2019t give up on Peter, despite his failure. The Father does the same for us, offering us mercy and restoration if we return to him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If we ever question God\u2019s faithfulness or mercy, Lamentations 3:22-23 famously assures us, \u201cBecause of the Lord\u2019s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.\u201d We may fail him today, but his mercies are new every morning, fresh and full. He keeps showing up, making sure life and evil don\u2019t consume us.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No matter where we are or what we\u2019ve done, God hasn\u2019t given up on us. But God reminds us through His Word that He sees us completely and intimately.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"760\" data-start=\"506\">Just as Hagar declared in <em data-end=\"547\" data-start=\"532\">Genesis 16:13<\/em>: <em data-end=\"581\" data-start=\"549\">\u201cYou are the God who sees me,\u201d<\/em> we too can take comfort knowing our Creator never overlooks us.
