But, I also think Bob\u2019s writings on Leviticus are powerful \u2013 and so here he is on Leviticus chapter 20 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">at this link<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">.\u00a0 Actually, one quick powerful note on Leviticus 19:18 (from yesterday\u2019s readings) \u2013 <em>\u201cNever seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone, but <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">love your neighbor as yourself<\/span>. I am the LORD.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Jesus quoted the underlined portion of this Leviticus verse as we see in Matthew 22:36-40: <em>\u201c\u201dTeacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?\u201d Jesus replied, \u201d `You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.\u2019 This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: `Love your neighbor as yourself.\u2019 All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.\u201d <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">In Leviticus chapter 20 verses 23 &amp; 24 we read \u2013 <em>\u201cDo not live by the customs of the people whom I will expel before you. It is because they do these terrible things that I detest them so much. But I have promised that you will inherit their land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
