{"id":20489,"date":"2026-03-01T06:20:31","date_gmt":"2026-03-01T06:20:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=20489"},"modified":"2026-03-01T06:20:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-01T06:20:31","slug":"danny-kruger-says-britain-is-suffering-because-of-damage-done-by-sexual-revolution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=20489","title":{"rendered":"Danny Kruger says Britain is &#8216;suffering&#8217; because of damage done by sexual revolution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                            <span>Danny Kruger<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Reform UK&#8217;s Danny Kruger has said Britain is \u201csuffering\u201d as a result of what he described as a \u201ctotally unregulated sexual economy\u201d, arguing that political leaders have an important part to play in strengthening marriage and family life.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <em>The Telegraph<\/em>, the evangelical Christian suggested that the sexual revolution had weakened the social framework traditionally provided by marriage, contributing to instability in families and declining birth rates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMarriage traditionally was the means by which sexual relations between men and women were regulated,\u201d he told <em>The Telegraph<\/em>. \u201cI think we are suffering from having a totally unregulated sexual economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Kruger, who defected from the Conservative Party last year and is now involved in Reform UK\u2019s preparations for government, said political parties have \u201ca limited but important\u201d role in shaping the cultural and policy environment around family life.<\/p>\n<p>He argued that while private relationships should be a matter of personal choice, government policy plays a significant role in setting the broader framework.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d like the framework to be more pro-social. If you want \u2013 most people do want \u2013 to settle down with one person to have children, we should make that easier,\u201d he told the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Kruger indicated that Reform UK would pursue policies aimed at encouraging higher birth rates, arguing that the current system creates financial disincentives for families and is \u201ctotally dysfunctional\u201d. Policies under consideration include whether taxation should be structured around households instead of individuals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want people to have more children, and we think the Government should get behind that wish,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The East Wiltshire MP was among the critics of<span> no-fault divorce, introduced in 2022, which removed the requirement of citing desertion, unreasonable behaviour, or adultery in divorce applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mr Kruger said it\u00a0\u201cbasically means that your vows don\u2019t matter\u201d, although he acknowledged reversing it was unlikely to become party policy.<\/p>\n<p>Reform recently said it would reinstate the two\u2011child benefit cap if elected.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Danny Kruger Reform UK&#8217;s Danny Kruger has said Britain is \u201csuffering\u201d as a result of what he described as a \u201ctotally unregulated sexual economy\u201d, arguing that political leaders have an important part to play in strengthening marriage and family life.
