{"id":20670,"date":"2026-03-02T09:29:02","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T09:29:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=20670"},"modified":"2026-03-02T09:29:02","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T09:29:02","slug":"officials-eye-iran-linked-terror-for-texas-bar-massacre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=20670","title":{"rendered":"Officials Eye Iran-linked Terror for Texas Bar Massacre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n              <span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time:<\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>(New York Post) \u2013 The fiend behind Sunday\u2019s bloodbath at a packed Austin bar was an ex-New York City resident\u00a0wearing a \u201cProperty of Allah\u2019\u2019 hoodie \u2014 and possibly out for vengeance over the US attack on Iran, law-enforcement sources told The Post.\n<\/p>\n<p>Crazed Texas shooter Ndiaga Diagne, 53, of Senegal arrived in the US in 2000 during the Democratic Clinton administration and became a naturalized US citizen in 2013 around the start of former President Barack Obama\u2019s second term \u2014 despite his growing rap sheet spanning New York and Texas.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the killer had a Quran in his car and was possibly also wearing an undershirt featuring the Iranian flag or other Iranian symbols when he opened fire on Buford\u2019s Backyard Beer Garden near the University of Texas-Austin campus, according to sources familiar with the investigation. . .\n<\/p>\n<p>The attack happened about 2 a.m. \u2014 closing time for the popular nightspot \u2014 as hundreds of people were leaving to head home.\n<\/p>\n<p>Diagne\u2019s large SUV was spotted traveling around the block several times before he stopped in front of the bar and began shooting out of his front window with a pistol, hitting patrons on the front patio, according to Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis.\n<\/p>\n<p>He then parked his car, got out and began shooting at people walking by on the street, the chief said.\n<\/p>\n<p>Police confronted the shooter within less than a minute of the first gunshot at an intersection on 6th Street and shot him, cops said.\n<\/p>\n<p>Two victims and the shooter died at the scene.
