{"id":20844,"date":"2026-03-03T10:46:25","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T10:46:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=20844"},"modified":"2026-03-03T10:46:25","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T10:46:25","slug":"march-3rd-chronological-bible-readings-chronological-bible-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=20844","title":{"rendered":"March 3rd Chronological Bible Readings \u2013 Chronological Bible Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Numbers 14:1-15:41<\/strong><\/span><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">~ Click here to read today\u2019s Scripture on Bible Gateway ~<\/span><\/em><br \/><span><em>~ Listen to today\u2019s Scripture with <\/em><em>The ESV Bible<\/em><\/span> ~<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>Today in Numbers chapter 14 we read about Joshua and Caleb\u2019s bold faith.\u00a0 They were ready to move into the Promised Land!\u00a0 Again, similar to my thoughts in yesterday\u2019s post, I wonder if sometimes in our lives, when we are on the brink of something new &amp; something big \u2013 that is of God \u2013 are we like Caleb &amp; Joshua, or are we like the Israelites?\u00a0 Are we ready to move forward quickly and decisively on toward what God is giving us?\u00a0 Or, are we putting on the brakes and starting to complain?\u00a0 Do we sabotage ourselves?\u00a0 This is a tough question to ask ourselves I realize.\u00a0 But I think that if we honestly look at our life, we can oftentimes be more like the Israelites in this chapter \u2013 putting on the breaks and really becoming the cause of my own problem\u2026\u00a0 I pray that I can have faith like Caleb and Joshua.\u00a0 I pray that I will boldly move forward to what God is calling me toward.\u00a0 How about you?<\/span><br \/><span\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span><span>Bible.org has a powerful commentary about our recent readings in Numbers titled \u201cIsrael\u2019s Failure at Kadesh Barnea\u201d at this link.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>Next in Numbers chapter 15 we read about unintentional and intentional sins.\u00a0 Verse 30 stood out to me \u2013<em> \u201cBut those who brazenly violate the LORD\u2019s will, whether native Israelites or foreigners, blaspheme the LORD.\u201d <\/em>I have thought about this in my life in the past\u2026 and thought about that old phrase, \u201cignorance is bliss.\u201d\u00a0 While this phrase may seem true at first glance \u2013 ignorance is bliss \u2013 it\u2019s obviously not \u201cTrue\u201d at all.\u00a0 It is so much better to know godly Truth, than to be ignorant.\u00a0 However\u2026 once we know godly Truth, what if we then consciously go against that Truth?\u00a0 What if we \u201cbrazenly violate God\u2019s will\u201d?\u00a0\u00a0This verse today reminded me that once we know Truth \u2013 and as we continue to grow in our knowledge of Truth and the Bible \u2013 we really should be much more intentional in how we live.\u00a0 We know what godly living looks like.\u00a0 We should not go back to our old ways of thinking or our old habits.\u00a0 We know better.\u00a0 And we most certainly should not think that \u201cignorance is bliss.\u201d\u00a0 It isn\u2019t.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span><strong>Worship Video:<\/strong> Today\u2019s readings in Numbers 14 reminded me of 33Miles song \u201cOne Life to Love:\u201d<\/span><br \/><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><\/span><br \/>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YuIloWyJNXM<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span>Are you living your one life to love?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span>Click here for True Love!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span><strong>Please join us in memorizing and meditating on a verse of Scripture today:<\/strong> <em>\u201cOnly do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them.\u201d<\/em> Numbers 14:9 NIV<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span><strong>Prayer Point:<\/strong> Pray that you never rebel against the Lord. Pray that you are never afraid of any other men, but only fear the Lord.
