In Numbers chapter 34 we read about the boundaries of the Promised Land.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Below is a map of how <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">the tribes will divide Canaan \u2013 which we will read about later in the Bible in more detail:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: black\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">In chapter 35 verses 10-12 we read about the Cities of Refuge \u2013<em> \u201c`When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan, designate cities of refuge for people to flee to if they have killed someone accidentally. These cities will be places of protection from a dead person\u2019s relatives who want to avenge the death. The slayer must not be killed before being tried by the community.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Reading about the Cities of Refuge reminds me of our current day laws of \u201cinnocent until proven guilty.\u201d\u00a0 It seems like the Cities of Refuge idea still lives on in our justice system today in some regards.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Worship Videos:<\/strong> Today\u2019s readings in Numbers 35 about the cities of refuge made me think about how Jesus is our only true refuge in this world, which reminded me of Jason Castro\u2019s song \u201cYou Are:\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kUkCrSTYGA8<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Is Jesus your One refuge?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Click here for your Refuge!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Please join us in memorizing and meditating on a verse of Scripture today:<\/strong> <em>\u201cThese six towns you give will be your cities of refuge.\u201d<\/em> Numbers 35:13 NIV<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Prayer Point:<\/strong> Pray that Jesus is your \u201ccity of refuge\u201d now and forevermore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Comments from You:<\/strong>\u00a0 What verses or insights stand out to you in today\u2019s readings?\u00a0 Please post up by clicking on the \u201cComments\u201d link below!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">God bless,<br \/>Mike<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">p.s.
