Hezbollah and Iran\u00a0launched a coordinated strike strategy Tuesday, a national security expert claimed, as reports emerged that deadly cluster munitions were hitting Israel in synchronized attacks.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cHezbollah has fully joined the war, and it looks like they are now very well\u00a0coordinated with Iran,\u201d Kobi Michael, a senior researcher at the\u00a0Institute for National Security Studies and the Misgav Institute, told Fox News Digital while speaking from his bomb shelter near Tel Aviv.\n<\/p>\n

Israel confirmed Tuesday that Iran had been firing cluster munitions \u2014 adding a complicated and deadly challenge to Israel\u2019s stretched air defenses,\u00a0The Associated Press\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n

These warheads, banned by more than 120 countries, are difficult to intercept and \u201coften result in catastrophic civilian harm,\u201d according to Fox News. Michael highlighted the fact that Iran is targeting civilians and using \u201cnon-conventional weapons,\u201d stressing that the \u201cAmerican-Israeli response must be appropriate.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

Tuesday night, Israel reportedly retaliated against Hezbollah, launching a wave of airstrikes. An Israeli military official also confirmed on Tuesday that roughly half of the projectiles launched by Iran at this point in the conflict are now cluster bombs.\n<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, as Israel battled Hezbollah, U.S. forces reportedly destroyed 16 Iranian mine-laying boats near the Strait of Hormuz.\n<\/p>\n

The Pentagon said U.S. forces destroyed 16 Iranian mine-laying boats near the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday.\n<\/p>\n

The minelayers were among multiple Iranian naval vessels \u201celiminated\u201d by the United States, U.S. Central Command said in an X post.\n<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump, in an earlier post on his Truth Social platform, warned Tehran that if \u201cfor any reason mines were placed, and they are not removed forthwith, the military consequences to Iran will be at a level never seen before.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Operation Epic Fury continues, President Trump has made protecting the Strait of Hormuz a priority. While 20% of the world\u2019s oil usually passes through the Strait, traffic has come to standstill as Iranian forces threaten traders. This has caused oil prices to skyrocket, leading to a sharp increase in gas prices in America.\n<\/p>\n

As conflict continues, neither side seems willing to back down. Iranian military officials claimed yesterday that they are prepared for a lengthy \u201cwar of attrition.\u201d Meanwhile, President Trump told Axios yesterday that the operation would end \u201csoon,\u201d as there is \u201cpractically nothing left to target.\u201d \u201cAny time I want it to end, it will end,\u201d the President claimed.\n<\/p>\n
