{"id":22146,"date":"2026-03-13T08:58:04","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T08:58:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=22146"},"modified":"2026-03-13T08:58:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T08:58:04","slug":"march-13th-chronological-bible-readings-chronological-bible-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=22146","title":{"rendered":"March 13th Chronological Bible Readings \u2013 Chronological Bible Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Deuteronomy 3:21-5:33<\/strong><\/span><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">~ Click here to read today\u2019s Scripture on Bible Gateway ~<\/span><\/em><br \/><span style=\"color: black\"><em>~ Listen to today\u2019s Scripture with <\/em><em>The ESV Bible<\/em><\/span> ~<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">We read some significant verses at the end of Deuteronomy chapter 3 when Moses asks to enter the Promised Land, and God replies in verses 26 through 28: <em>\u201c`Speak of it no more. You can go to Pisgah Peak and view the land in every direction, but you may not cross the Jordan River. But commission Joshua and encourage him, for he will lead the people across the Jordan. He will give them the land you now see before you.\u2019\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Here we see that God is standing firm in his refusal of allowing Moses to enter the Promised Land \u2013 and yet, he does show mercy in allowing Moses to view the land.\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Today in Deuteronomy chapter 4 verse 29 we read:<em> \u201cBut if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.\u201d <\/em>How does this verse speak to you today? Do you believe it is true? Have you sought God with all of your heart and with all of your soul? This verse also reminds me of Jesus\u2019 teaching of one of the two great commands \u2013 which he quoted from Deuteronomy chapter 6 verse 5 \u2013 <em>\u201cLove the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.\u201d<\/em> So \u2013 if you have sought after God and found him, do you now today love God with all your heart and with all of your soul and with all your strength?\u00a0 What does this look like in your life? How do you love God in your life today?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Today we get a nice recap of the Ten Commandments in Deuteronomy chapter 5!\u00a0 We originally read these in Exodus chapter 20 and then again in Exodus chapter 34.\u00a0 There are some differences in the wordings of the Ten Commandments in each of these chapters, but not enough to worry about.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Bible.org has a great overview of the Ten Commandments, based on Exodus chapter 20, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">at this link<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Worship Video:<\/strong> Today\u2019s readings i Deuteronomy reminded me of the Mikeschair song \u201cLet the Waters Rise:\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ofmEiNzWDOk<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Are the waters rising on you?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">Click here for Rescue!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Please join us in memorizing and meditating on a verse of Scripture today:<\/strong> <em>\u201cYou shall have no other gods before me.\u201d<\/em> Deuteronomy 5:7 NIV<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Prayer Point:<\/strong> Pray that you have absolutely no other gods before the LORD our God.
