Listen to the latest\u00a0episode\u00a0of \u201cQuick Start\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Broom, an ex-adult film star who became a Christian and pastor after renouncing the porn industry, told \u201cThe Bible Bros Podcast With Billy and Dalton\u201d hosts Billy Hallowell and Dalton Harper why he believes so many men struggle to be the men God has designed them to be.<\/p>\n \u201cIf Satan can\u2019t rob you of your salvation, he\u2019ll settle for your silence,\u201d Broome said. \u201cAnd if he can make a man silent, then that\u2019s \u2026 the second biggest victory that he could win.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cYou\u2019re not leading yourself if you\u2019re not leading your family, if you\u2019re not speaking into culture.\u201d<\/p>\n Silence has become a proverbial cryptonite to men and culture, Broome argued.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat we don\u2019t say says something \u2014 what we don\u2019t say says something very loudly,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd when people are proclaiming their agendas, their ideologies, and there\u2019s no pushback against that \u2026 we\u2019re being indoctrinated by something.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s for this reason that Broome is working to compel men to come to Jesus and be \u201cleaders of their homes, to speak life into their children, to speak life into their workplaces, their culture, wherever they might be.\u201d<\/p>\n Broome regularly speaks at churches and on social media, working to inspire men to forge close relationships with God. The preacher will join 7,000 men March 13-14 for\u00a0the\u00a0Ignite Men\u2019s Impact Weekend in Lynchburg, Virginia.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019ve been doing it for about 30 years, and it\u2019s grown into this event where around 7,000 men will be in one room,\u201d Broome said.<\/p>\n From honoring military veterans to a plethora of workshops aimed at inspiring men in their faith, Ignite offers a mixture of fun and spiritual hope. Men will hear from spiritual leaders like Broome, Tim Timberlake, Jon Gordon, and Rhett Walker, and will participate in entertaining activities like axe throwing.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s at Thomas Road Baptist Church, which is on the campus of Liberty University,\u201d Broome said. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be an incredible event, and I love that we kind of come at guys from all different angles.\u201d<\/p>\n From men who love sports to guys who enjoy the outdoors, Broome said Ignite has something for everyone. Ultimately, though, the event is truly all about building up men\u2019s faith.<\/p>\n \u201cThe objective of the entire event is to clearly share the Gospel, and get people plugged into healthy local churches, and just start them on a discipleship journey,\u201d Broome said. \u201cOr say, \u2018Hey, maybe you\u2019ve got off track, whether you\u2019re struggling with pornography or you feel like you\u2019re passive in this culture, it\u2019s so much going on that you don\u2019t know what to say.’\u201d<\/p>\n Broome said it\u2019s about helping men become the people they are meant to be.
