{"id":22493,"date":"2026-03-16T08:03:02","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T08:03:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=22493"},"modified":"2026-03-16T08:03:02","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T08:03:02","slug":"state-ags-question-climate-bias-in-the-judicial-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=22493","title":{"rendered":"State AGs Question Climate Bias in the Judicial System"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n              <span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time:<\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 3<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">(The Center Square) \u2013 Two dozen state attorneys general have written to the secretaries of Transportation, Energy and War asking them to investigate the federal funding of two organizations due to the groups\u2019 refusal to take action on a politically biased climate chapter in a reference manual that is used by judges \u2013 the attorneys arguing such impartiality could impact the integrity of the judicial system.\n<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\">Pray for your fellow intercessor.<\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen, who leads the effort, told The Center Square that \u201ctaxpayer dollars should not be used to fund efforts that impartially influence judges.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cGiven multiple opportunities, [the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine] and [the National Science Foundation] still refuse to take responsibility for publishing a biased climate science manual violating their public commitments and legal obligations,\u201d Knudsen said.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) was\u00a0<strong>founded to<\/strong>\u00a0advise the government on issues related to science, engineering and medicine, while the National Science Foundation (NSF) is an independent\u00a0<strong>federal agency<\/strong>\u00a0begun to \u201c[support] science and engineering\u201d in the nation.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Knudsen told The Center Square \u201cthe organizations producing these manuals and pushing their climate agendas on judges must be investigated and all funding to them should stop.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAs attorney general, I will continue to sound the alarm until we put an end to their deception,\u201d Knudsen said.\n<\/p>\n<p>In February 2026, 21 state attorneys general requested that NASEM \u201cremove a climate science section from the academies\u2019 manual,\u201d expressing concern over tax money promoting various partisan ideology, as The Center Square reported.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Following the raised concerns, the Federal Judicial Center \u201cremoved the Chapter from its online version of the Manual,\u201d but neither NASEM nor NSF took action.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">CEO of the American Energy Institute Jason Isaac told The Center Square that \u201comitting one chapter does not fix a manual that was built around litigation-driven climate narratives from the start.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThe entire Fourth Edition should be rescinded and replaced with the Third Edition until Congress completes a full investigation into how activist lawyers and advocacy groups were allowed to shape guidance relied upon by federal judges,\u201d Isaac said.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cJudicial education must explain scientific methods, not preload contested theories that benefit one side of multi-billion-dollar lawsuits,\u201d Isaac said.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cUntil that review is complete, the safest course is to return to the last edition,\u201d Isaac said.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The other attorneys general\u00a0<strong>signing the letter<\/strong>\u00a0include those from Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In their letter, the attorneys general call on Congress to \u201cinvestigate NSF\u2019s and NASEM\u2019s violations of their duties and commitments.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cBy engaging in the biased process that produced the Chapter, NSF and NASEM violated their public commitments and statutory duties,\u201d the letter said.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cBoth NSF and NASEM claim that objectivity is an essential part of science and scientific integrity\u2026. the Chapter\u2019s design, funding, authorship, and review were all biased, and the Chapter\u2019s content also reflects this lack of objectivity,\u201d the letter stated.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">NASEM has not yet responded to The Center Square\u2019s request for comment, while NSF declined to comment.\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\">How are you praying about this?
