Now, however, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr is taking action to put an end to the rampant spread of deception.\n<\/p>\n<h4>Post a prayer for your state!<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>From the Daily Caller:\n<\/p>\n<p>Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr warned media outlets Saturday that they may lose their broadcast licenses if they insist on running \u201cfake news\u201d content.\n<\/p>\n<p>Carr wrote in an X post he was giving broadcasters who were \u201crunning hoaxes and news distortions \u2010 also known as the fake news\u201d the chance to \u201ccorrect course before their license renewals come up.\u201d His warning came in response to a Truth Social\u00a0post\u00a0by President Donald Trump slamming \u201cthe Fake News Media\u201d for what he called an \u201cintentionally misleading headline\u201d about U.S. Air Force planes reportedly hit by an Iranian missile strike.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe law is clear. Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not,\u201d the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chairman wrote in his post. \u201cAnd frankly, changing course is in their own business interests since trust in legacy media has now fallen to an all time low of just 9% and are ratings disasters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Chairman Carr, this is all about bringing back trust \u201cinto media,\u201d The Chairman notes that, in 2020, a Gallup survey found that only 95 of Americans had a \u201cgreat deal\u201d of trust in the mainstream media, further highlighting the need for integrity.\n<\/p>\n<p>The Chairman also highlights a specific, recent example of lies in the mainstream media. For example many in the \u201cFake News Media\u201d have said that five tanker planes were struck down recently at a Saudi Arabian airport. In reality, however, Chairman Carr points out that all five planes are five, with only one plane being damaged at all.\n<\/p>\n<p>As intercessors, we have spent years praying for fairness in our media and the news.
