Deuteronomy 21:10-25:19<\/strong><\/span>

Deuteronomy chapter 22 has various rules & regs, including sexual purity.\u00a0 It makes sense that there needed to be rules & regs for 1 million+ Israelites wandering in the desert for 40 years \u2013 and for them as they are now about to enter the Promised Land.\u00a0 Essentially, these rules & regs kept the peace.\u00a0 But, hopefully more than that, they kept the Israelites minds & hearts focused on God and not on sin.\u00a0 I think the rules & regs for sexual purity are obviously still so needed today.\u00a0 Our culture can take us quickly into the depths of sexual impurity.\u00a0 Depths that are so dark \u2013 even though the culture doesn\u2019t tell you about the darkness of sexual impurity as it is selling you the shiny lie.\u00a0 Sexual sin unchecked is incredibly dangerous.\u00a0 If you are struggling with it, please flee.\u00a0 Run to God and Jesus.\u00a0 Humble yourself in confession & repentance.\u00a0 And allow Jesus to heal & transform you.\u00a0 Sexual purity is something we must pursue diligently each and every day.\u00a0 Don\u2019t start to go down any slippery slopes.\u00a0 It gets dark quickly\u2026.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are quite a few miscellaneous and interesting regulations in our readings today!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 All in all, very good advice of course.\u00a0 Deuteronomy chapter 25 verse 4 tells us this wise advice \u2013 \u201cDo not keep an ox from eating as it treads out the grain.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 I think it is quite fair for an ox to eat while he\u2019s working!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Worship God:<\/strong> Today\u2019s readings in Deuteronomy reminded me of Josh Wilson\u2019s song \u201cI Refuse:\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
