Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don\u2019t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.\u201d -Philippians 2:3&amp;4<\/p>\n<p>When asked by a rich man how to enter the kingdom of heaven, Jesus replied, \u201cYou must sell all you own and come and follow Me.\u201d\u00a0 (Luke\u00a019:21)<\/p>\n<p>The rich man, in response, was visibly dejected.\u00a0 He realized he did not want to let go of his wealth in order to follow Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>Such is the case in pursuing our calling.\u00a0 It\u2019s often not what we think.<\/p>\n<p>There will be things that we won\u2019t want to give up, freedoms that we enjoy \u2013 but when God comes calling we have to put our selfishness aside in order to serve.\u00a0 \u201cWith great power comes great responsibility.\u201d -Voltaire\u00a0 \u201cBut among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant\u2026\u201d\u00a0(Mark10:43)<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes this is hard. Sometimes this is not what we want to do.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve seen my dad go through much inconvenience and work many long hours in order to serve. But the cool thing is, our sacrifice leads to life in others because of God\u2019s call. Will you allow God to\u00a0use you today, even if it means inconvenience?
