(THE GATEWAY PUNDIT) \u2013 The leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, and Canada have now signaled they will join the United States in a coalition to secure and keep open the critical Strait of Hormuz, the vital oil chokepoint the bloodthirsty Iranian regime has turned into a terrorist kill zone.\n<\/p>\n

Get involved in\u00a0<\/span>state-level<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>p<\/span>rayer with IFA<\/span>.<\/span><\/h4>\n

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the radical Islamic mullahs in Tehran launched a desperate campaign of economic terrorism after U.S. and Israeli strikes hammered their nuclear sites and terror infrastructure.\n<\/p>\n

Iran mined the strait, attacked unarmed commercial vessels, targeted oil facilities, and effectively closed the waterway that carries nearly 20-25% of the world\u2019s oil supply.\n<\/p>\n

President Trump refused to let America shoulder the entire burden alone. He\u00a0blasted the freeloading \u201callies,\u201d\u00a0took to Truth Social, and demanded that nations dependent on Middle Eastern oil step up and send warships.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send Ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a Nation that has been totally decapitated,\u201d Trump said.\n<\/p>\n

He even threatened to\u00a0\u201cfinish off\u201d Iran\u00a0and let NATO and Asia handle the mess if they wouldn\u2019t get in gear. As we reported, the initial responses from Europe were weak and uninspiring, classic globalist foot-dragging.\n<\/p>\n

Now, with Iran\u2019s attacks growing more brazen and the Strait\u2019s security directly tied to global oil flows, those same allies are signaling that they are prepared to stand with the United States.\n<\/p>\n

That does\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0yet mean all seven countries have announced warship deployments.\n<\/p>\n

The joint statement so far supports that they have formally backed efforts to keep passage open and are ready to contribute, while some governments are still working through what their exact role will be.\n<\/p>\n

Britain, for example, has been publicly discussing possible deployments, including ships and mine-countermeasure assets, but final national commitments appear to remain in motion.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cWe condemn in the strongest terms recent attacks by Iran on unarmed commercial vessels in the Gulf, attacks on civilian infrastructure including oil and gas installations, and the de facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces.\n<\/p>\n

We express our deep concern about the escalating conflict. We call on Iran to cease immediately its threats, laying of mines, drone and missile attacks and other attempts to block the Strait to commercial shipping, and to comply with UN Security Council Resolution 2817.\n<\/p>\n

Freedom of navigation is a fundamental principle of international law, including under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.\n<\/p>\n

The effects of Iran\u2019s actions will be felt by people in all parts of the world, especially the most vulnerable.\n<\/p>\n

Consistent with UNSC Resolution 2817, we emphasise that such interference with international shipping and the disruption of global energy supply chains constitute a threat to international peace and security. In this regard, we call for an immediate comprehensive moratorium on attacks on civilian infrastructure, including oil and gas installations.\n<\/p>\n

We express our readiness to contribute to appropriate efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait. We welcome the commitment of nations who are engaging in preparatory planning.\n<\/p>\n

We welcome the International Energy Agency decision to authorise a coordinated release of strategic petroleum reserves. We will take other steps to stabilise energy markets, including working with certain producing nations to increase output.\n<\/p>\n

We will also work to provide support for the most affected nations, including through the United Nations and the IFIs.\n<\/p>\n

Maritime security and freedom of navigation benefit all countries. We call on all states to respect international law and uphold the fundamental principles of international prosperity and security.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s leadership is once again proving that strength works. While the radical left and RINO warmongers screamed about endless wars, President Trump is forcing our so-called allies to finally pay their fair share instead of freeloading off the U.S. military for decades.\n<\/p>\n
