{"id":23791,"date":"2026-03-26T08:53:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-26T08:53:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=23791"},"modified":"2026-03-26T08:53:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T08:53:15","slug":"march-26th-chronological-bible-readings-chronological-bible-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=23791","title":{"rendered":"March 26th Chronological Bible Readings \u2013 Chronological Bible Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Joshua 12:7-15:19<\/strong><\/span><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">~ Click here to read today\u2019s Scripture on Bible Gateway ~<\/span><\/em><br \/><span><em>~ Listen to today\u2019s Scripture with <\/em><em>The ESV Bible<\/em><\/span> ~<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>Interesting \u2013 Joshua is an old man already here in chapter 13!\u00a0 Time is flying quite a bit faster in this book than our past readings about the life of Moses\u2026.\u00a0 It\u2019s estimated that Joshua is between 90 and 100 years old in chapter 13 and Caleb is 85 years old.\u00a0 In chapter 14 verse 12 we read these words from Caleb to Joshua: <em>\u201cSo give me the hill country that the L<span>ord<\/span> promised me.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Below is a good image of the hill country of Judah that Caleb sought and received, courtesy of HolyLandPhotos.org:<\/span><br \/><span\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>In Joshua chapter 14 verses 1 &amp; 2 today we read: <em>\u201cThe remaining tribes of Israel inherited land in Canaan as allotted by Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the tribal leaders. These nine and a half tribes received their inheritance by means of sacred lots, in accordance with the LORD\u2019s command through Moses.\u201d<\/em><\/span><br \/><span\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>It is interesting to read about the allotment of land to the tribe of Judah today!\u00a0 It reminds me of how different these days are for the Israelites, compared to the 40 years of wandering in the desert \u2013 or the slavery in Egypt prior to that.\u00a0 Times have changed!\u00a0 God\u2019s Promise is being fulfilled.\u00a0 I think this is important for us to remember in our lives as well.\u00a0 Maybe we\u2019re in a \u201cslavery\u201d period in our own life where we are looking for a Savior to free us.\u00a0 Jesus is of course that Savior to free us from our slavery to sin.\u00a0 Or, maybe we\u2019re in a desert period of our lives.\u00a0 We\u2019ve decided to follow Jesus, but maybe we\u2019re really trudging through some hard times.\u00a0 If we\u2019re in this type of period, hopefully we can be encouraged by knowing that God\u2019s Promises to us will not fail.\u00a0 God will bring us peace that surpasses all understanding.\u00a0 God will bring us to the true Promised Land for eternity.\u00a0 Let us be encouraged in our own lives by our past few months of readings about the Israelites and their journey from slavery to now the Promised Land.\u00a0 God\u2019s Promises will not fail.\u00a0 They are eternal.\u00a0 And they are the only thing in this passing world that is eternal.<\/span><br \/><span\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span><strong>Worship Video:<\/strong> Today\u2019s readings in Joshua about the allotment of land reminded me of Michael W.
