{"id":24231,"date":"2026-03-29T09:04:21","date_gmt":"2026-03-29T09:04:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=24231"},"modified":"2026-03-29T09:04:21","modified_gmt":"2026-03-29T09:04:21","slug":"march-29th-chronological-bible-readings-chronological-bible-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblelon.com\/?p=24231","title":{"rendered":"March 29th Chronological Bible Readings \u2013 Chronological Bible Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Joshua 19:49-21:45; 1 Chronicles 6:54-81<\/strong><\/span><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">~ Click here to read today\u2019s Scripture on Bible Gateway ~<\/span><\/em><em><br \/><span><em>~ Listen to today\u2019s Scripture with <\/em><em>The ESV Bible<\/em><\/span> ~<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>In Joshua chapter 20 we read about the Cities of Refuge.\u00a0 I like that concept \u2013 a city of refuge.\u00a0 A place of refuge.\u00a0 This is what I think about Jesus today \u2013 He is our City of Refuge!\u00a0 No matter what our past sins are, Jesus can be our City of Refuge if we will run to Him, believe, confess &amp; repent.\u00a0 Is Jesus your City of Refuge?<\/span><br \/><span\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>In Joshua chapter 21 we read about the towns given to the Levites, the priestly tribe appointed in the Mosaic Law for the service of the Tabernacle and of the Temple.\u00a0 It seems very wise that the Levites are given towns throughout the various tribes of the Israelites.\u00a0 In my mind this is spreading out the priestly tribe strategically.\u00a0 Can you imagine if the Levites were all in just 1 location?\u00a0 It seems to me that there would be a vacuum of spiritual leadership in the tribes if the Levites were not dispersed in the manner which they were. How does reading about the Levites being dispersed remind you of the church today? Is the church dispersed throughout the world today a good thing?
