It\u2019s easy to lose hope if you focus only on the negative reports concerning the younger generations. They are being bombarded with anti-biblical teachings at every turn, diabolical lies that affect children as young as elementary-school age. Despite how everything looks, however,\u00a0I have hope for them, because my hope is in Jesus Christ.<\/em>\u00a0And if you are a Spirit-filled child of God, then every day you, too, have reason for hope.\n<\/p>\n

Find out when your state prays<\/span>.<\/span><\/h4>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Our children\u00a0are<\/em>\u00a0being actively targeted. A recent dream reinforced this sobering message. In it, I saw also how\u00a0the Lord is calling intercessors to stand in the gap and to powerfully cancel out the Enemy\u2019s plan.<\/em><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

I dreamed I was at home with my family. An alert came on the television, warning everyone to stay indoors. An extremely dangerous armed man was on the loose. Though I wasn\u2019t sure who the man was, I knew his intention was evil. The police had found guns and several letters from the killer \u2014 letters that were pages long and contained the names of victims he intended to kill. I gazed in shock, recognizing many of those names. And I realized that\u00a0every name on that list was either a child, a teenager, or a young adult.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

A warning siren sounded, and a red light began to flash as I embraced my family. The silhouette of a man appeared outside, and I knew it was the killer. I calmed my family and assured them that they would be safe. I felt a strength come over me as I stood to my feet. I was prepared to fight, even if it meant death. That man never even made it inside my home; he was apprehended. I had a similar dream shortly after that one. I woke up, considered both dreams, and I prayed. I sensed the Lord speaking to me and exhorting me.\n<\/p>\n

The first thing that came to my mind was the fact that\u00a0children<\/em>\u00a0were the only ones on that killer\u2019s list. We don\u2019t have to look very far to see that there is a real attack against young people happening now. After prayer, I knew that the killer in the dreams who was after the younger generation was Satan himself. We know that he is behind this war on children. Our Lord Jesus called him \u201ca murderer and a liar from the beginning\u201d:\n<\/p>\n

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father\u2019s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies<\/em>\u00a0(John 8:44 NIV).<\/p>\n

Jesus also exposed Satan\u2019s plans for humankind \u2014 to steal, to kill, and to destroy \u2014 in John 10:10. This is the complete opposite of the Lord\u2019s plan to redeem us and give us abundant life. Satan has from the beginning sought to pervert and destroy God\u2019s creation, simply because he hates those whom God loves.\n<\/p>\n

Satan was behind Pharaoh\u2019s order for all the Hebrew male infants to be killed (Exodus 1:15\u201323). Satan was behind Herod\u2019s order to kill every male child in Bethlehem under the age of 2 (Matthew 2:16\u201318). Likewise, Satan was behind the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that made abortion \u201clegal\u201d and led to the killing of over 60 million babies. Satan is behind every school shooting. He is behind the current push to confuse children and teens about their gender and to surgically mutilate them. He is behind the ungodly and anti-Christ indoctrination now permeating America\u2019s schools and colleges. Satan is most surely at work to steal, kill, and destroy.\n<\/p>\n

Arms and Armor<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

Ephesians 6:12 declares that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, authorities, and powers of darkness in the unseen realms. We know that it is not ultimately\u00a0people<\/em>\u00a0we are fighting, but\u00a0demonic powers.<\/em>\u00a0Our enemy is never primarily the human being, however wicked, who happens to be confronting us at any given moment, but rather it is\u00a0the spirits<\/em>\u00a0at work behind the scenes.\n<\/p>\n

Now, however, is not a time to shrink back in fear or to be dissuaded by negative reports;\u00a0it\u2019s a time to stand up.<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

The one thing that stood in the way of the killer entering my home and coming after my family was\u00a0me.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0I had no weapons in any conventional sense, but I did have a resolve to stand up as a mother, wife, and intercessor.\n<\/p>\n

In Ephesians 6:10\u201318 we read about the armor of God. It\u2019s all about being prepared for the battle. Most of us are familiar with this. The Amplified Bible renders it this way:\n<\/p>\n

Put on God\u2019s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil\u00a0<\/em>(Ephesians 6:11 AMPC).<\/em><\/p>\n

We are called to stand against all of the devil\u2019s plans and never to rest on our laurels. As Ephesians 6:13 says: \u2026\u00a0and having done all, to stand firm.<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

After you\u2019ve praised,\u00a0you stand<\/em>.\n<\/p>\n

After you\u2019ve prayed,\u00a0you stand.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

After you\u2019ve fasted,\u00a0you stand.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

After you\u2019ve meditated on the word and the promises of God,\u00a0you stand.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

After you have put on the armor of God, which is putting on Christ,\u00a0you stand.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

When I decided to stand, the enemy never made it into my home.<\/strong>\u00a0He was caught. He could not fulfill his plans against me or my family. That\u2019s the power of intercession.\u00a0As intercessors, we are in the way of Satan\u2019s plans.<\/strong>\u00a0While standing in the gap, we repair the breach and deny him access.\u00a0Your prayers are effective, and they are making a difference.<\/strong><\/em>\n<\/p>\n

A Personal Word of Encouragement\u00a0<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

You may be burdened in prayer about what is going on with children right now, while you fight your own battles. If you have a prodigal in your own life while you contend for the children of others in this nation,\u00a0keep praying,<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0keep standing.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Don\u2019t lose heart.\n<\/p>\n

Maybe you are praying for the healing of this young generation, while your own child is battling some sickness. Keep praying, and keep standing. Don\u2019t lose heart.\n<\/p>\n

I know\u00a0personally<\/em>\u00a0how hard it can be, but I say this to encourage those who are weary. We can praise God for his goodness and faithfulness to us in the midst of it all. We have a promise in His word that tells us that when we seek His kingdom first, He will personally care for our needs.\n<\/p>\n

In Matthew 6:25\u201332 Jesus was telling His disciples not to worry about what to eat or drink, or what clothing they were to put on. He reminded them that His Father cares for the birds of the air and for the grass of the field. If God cares for those, how much more does He care about you and your family?\n<\/p>\n

But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right \u2014 the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also\u00a0<\/em>(Matthew 6:33 AMP).<\/p>\n

Although that verse refers to provision, never forget that\u00a0God knows about what your family is going through. He knows. He sees. And yes, He cares.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0He hasn\u2019t forgotten about you or your labor in prayer. He promises that when we seek His kingdom and righteousness, He will care for our needs. I believe this applies to\u00a0all<\/em>\u00a0our needs, not just the financial ones. In other words, if you are faithful to intercede for the children of this generation, He will take care of\u00a0your family.<\/em>\u00a0He is\u00a0with<\/em>\u00a0you, and He is\u00a0for<\/em>\u00a0you, so\u00a0who can be against you?<\/em><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might\u00a0<\/em>(Ephesians 6:10).\n<\/p>\n

In our own strength we fail, but we can be strong in the Lord. He gives us strength to stand in the battle.\n<\/p>\n

In my dream, not only was I encouraged by the fact that Satan was denied access, but also I was encouraged by the fact that I wasn\u2019t the only parent standing up. It\u2019s time for praying parents to step it up. The Lord is looking for those praying moms and dads, for those praying grandparents \u2014 indeed, for anyone who bears\u00a0any<\/em>\u00a0title of parent and chooses to pray: a stepparent, a godparent, a spiritual parent; you are being called to the front lines.\n<\/p>\n

This younger generation will bring forth our future leaders. They are future mothers and fathers. These are future pastors and church leaders. They are future doctors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, law-enforcement officers, politicians, teachers. If\u00a0we<\/em>\u00a0don\u2019t teach them,\u00a0the world<\/em>\u00a0will. If we won\u2019t disciple them, the world will. If we do not influence them, the culture will.\n<\/p>\n

We must never stop contending for them.<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

If you have already been standing in the gap, then keep on standing \u2014 and may the Lord bless you for your faithfulness, in due time. If you are reading this and are ready to accept the call to contend for the children of this generation, we welcome you. You are not alone. You are part of a growing army and community of intercessors.\n<\/p>\n

Father, we thank You. Life is such a precious gift. You said children are a gift and a reward from You, and we praise You.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

Thank You for every mother and father who has stood long in prayer for the children in the womb and in the schools. Thank You for those sacrificial prayers. Do as You have promised, and renew their strength as they wait upon You. Bless them, keep them, make Your face shine upon them, and give them peace.\u00a0<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

Hear our prayers for every parent who accepts the call to intercede, whether that be against abortion, gender confusion, or ungodly indoctrination. Give them boldness and strength for the battle.\u00a0<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

Thank You in advance for the army of praying parents rising up in this hour and taking back stolen ground.\u00a0<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

Give us wisdom to teach and to disciple this generation with Your word, not with our own opinions.\u00a0Let the truth of Your word open their spiritual eyes and bring down every stronghold.\u00a0<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

Help us to love them the way You have loved us \u2014 with patience, mercy, forgiveness, and kindness.\u00a0<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

We thank You for Your protection around our homes, and we pray for our schools to be hedged about on every side from every vile attack and evil plan of the enemy. Expose every dark scheme, and let it be foiled and become utterly fruitless.\u00a0<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

We pray that in this hour You would take what the enemy meant for evil concerning our children and turn it around for good. We pray that we would see waves of Your healing within families, bringing restoration.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

Thank You, Lord, for Your promise that if we seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, You will add to us everything we need. Let each one of us say in faith: \u201cI receive that promise for my family.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

In Jesus\u2019 name. So be it. Amen.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n
