Write the word “Easter” down, and let each letter remind you of what God has done for you. This is not just a holiday. This is your hope.

The “E” stands for Emmanuel—God with us. The Bible says in the Gospel of Matthew 1:23 that His name would be called Emmanuel, meaning God with us. Jesus is not distant. He is not removed. He stepped into your world, into your pain, and into your brokenness. When you look at Jesus, you see exactly what God is like. He is full of compassion, grace, and always drawing near to the hurting. You were never meant to do life alone.

The “A” stands for Atonement. Scripture declares in Romans 5:11 that through Jesus, you have received atonement. That means you have been brought back into relationship with God. Sin separated you, but the cross restored you. Jesus paid your debt in full. You are no longer a slave to your past. You are forgiven, restored, and made one with Him.

The “S” stands for Son rise. Not just the rising of the sun, but the rising of the Son of God. Because He rose, you have been raised into a new identity. The Bible says in Romans 8:14 that you are now a child of God. You are not a servant trying to earn love. You are a son or daughter who already has it. You are an heir with Christ, called to live in freedom and authority.

The “T” stands for Truth. God is not a man that He should lie. What He has spoken, He will fulfill. Easter reminds you that every promise of God is trustworthy. If He says He will never leave you, He means it. If He says He has prepared a place for you, it is real. You can build your life on His Word with confidence.

The next “E” stands for Eternal life. Jesus said in John 17:3 that eternal life is knowing Him. Because of Easter, you do not have to fear death. This life is not the end of your story. When you take your last breath here, you will take your first breath in eternity. You are not living toward death. You are living toward life that never ends.

Finally, the “R” stands for Resurrection. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is your promise. Because He got up, you will too. This is not just spiritual—it is physical, eternal, and complete. One day, every grave will give up what it holds, and you will stand in a glorified body, alive forever with Him.

This is the message of Easter. God is with you. Your sins are forgiven. Your identity is secure. His promises are true. Your future is eternal. And your victory is guaranteed—because Jesus is alive.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the power of Easter. Thank You that You are with me, that my sins are forgiven, and that my future is secure in You. Help me to live in the fullness of this truth every day. Let the reality of the resurrection shape how I think, how I live, and how I trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Watch the Full Sermon Here

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” John 11:25 (KJV) Take a moment and let this settle deep into your spirit.
