One man\u2019s story exposes how this \u201cfraud by design\u201d has persisted for decades.\n<\/p>\n<h4>Post a prayer for your state!<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>From RealClearPolitics:\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"373\" data-end=\"583\">Rob Undersander is a millionaire. He also received taxpayer-funded food stamps. His story illustrates an absurd \u2013 and intentional \u2013 loophole in America\u2019s welfare system that taxpayers need closed immediately.\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"585\" data-end=\"1160\">Rob applied for food stamps in 2016. A Minnesota resident, he clearly exceeded the program\u2019s asset limits. But in the application process, he was deemed eligible to receive a brochure on domestic violence services, which under state policy allowed him to receive food stamps. Three weeks later, his first food-stamp benefits arrived in the mail.\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"585\" data-end=\"1160\">The taxpayer cash arrived like clockwork for the next 19 months, ultimately amounting to more than $6,000. (Rob only did this to prove the system was broken, and instead of keeping the money, he donated every penny to charity.)\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1452\">It\u2019s no accident that despite being a millionaire, Rob received welfare payments that are supposed to be for the truly vulnerable. The federal government and states have conspired to create a system that intentionally bypasses the program\u2019s eligibility standards. Call it fraud by design.\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1452\">\n<p data-start=\"1454\" data-end=\"1687\">This violates God\u2019s principles of justice and stewardship. Scripture calls on leaders to \u201cdefend the rights of the poor and needy\u201d (Proverbs 31:9), not create programs that let the wealthy exploit them.\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1888\">The cultural and political consequences are clear. States exploiting this loophole encourage dependency, waste billions in taxpayer dollars, and rob struggling families of resources meant for them.\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1890\" data-end=\"2155\">Thankfully, reforms are coming. New reconciliation measures require states with high error rates to share costs. Eliminating Broad-Based Categorical Eligibility restores integrity to food stamps and aligns policy with biblical principles of fairness and prudence.\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2157\" data-end=\"2346\">Prayer is vital for protecting our nation from corruption.
