Ruslan KD, who has solidified himself as one of the most prominent, thoughtful, and introspective Christian creators, sees some truly encouraging moves unfolding right now in culture.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a hunger for things that are deeper,\u201d he told CBN News during his recent Bless God Summit. \u201cI think there\u2019s a hunger for things that are meaningful. I think there\u2019s a hunger for spiritual formation and walking in, I would say, the truest sense of reality.\u201d<\/p>\n
WATCH: STREAM CBN\u2019S NEW DOCUMENTARY \u2018INVESTIGATING THE SUPERNATURAL: ANGELS AND DEMONS\u2019 RIGHT NOW<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Ruslan, who is\u00a0set to launch his cross-country tour April 10 in Chicago, sees a shift when comparing this current hunger for the Gospel and truth to previous mentalities.<\/p>\n \u201cPrior to COVID, we just kind of floated and did our own thing,\u201d he said. \u201cIt reminds me a lot of the time right after 9\/11 \u2026 there was this like clarity that seemed to have came over people and they were curious and interested.\u201d<\/p>\n While churches were initially packed, it didn\u2019t take long for it to dissipate. But Ruslan said recent events have created similar dynamics, with people being more attracted to church and faith.<\/p>\n \u201cWe saw a drastic uptick right after Charlie Kirk \u2026 got tragically assassinated \u2026 a consistent sustaining and growth at our church,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I don\u2019t know if that growth was already happening, but we saw a bump, like a noticeable bump where our church has doubled from this time last year \u2014 more than doubled now. And that\u2019s been awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n On the flip side, Ruslan also detailed what concerns him, citing the \u201chyper, hyper, hyper skepticism of all institutions.\u201d He pointed to what happened during COVID to explain why some of this has unfolded.<\/p>\n From claims surrounding masks to the promise that the curve would be flattened in \u201ctwo weeks,\u201d much of what ended up not coming to fruition naturally eroded public trust.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t wear a mask, wear a mask, like all of that,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd then all of that amplified and people are like waking up that like, \u2018Hey, these people that are in power in institutions, they\u2019re not always good faith actors. They\u2019re not always honest about what\u2019s happening.’\u201d<\/p>\n This has created a distrust that, at moments, might descend into unhealthy places \u2014 including \u201ca hyper conspiratorial rabbit hole,\u201d as people are now more apt to doubt everything.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s \u2026 not good for their soul and \u2026 not good for their life,\u201d Ruslan said. \u201cIt\u2019s not good for your soul to view the world through this paradigm, but it\u2019s also not great for your life because, if you have this \u2018defeatist system is rigged, little guy can\u2019t get ahead, American dream is dead\u2019 [mentality] \u2026 that belief will cause your actions to reflect that.\u201d<\/p>\n Ruslan is on a mission to encourage people to cling closer to the Lord. His second annual Bless God Summit recently drew hundreds of fans to California where they heard from pastors, speakers and apologetics experts.<\/p>\n He said he wanted to \u201ccreate a weekend for people to go see some of their favorite speakers, and artists, and performers\u201d and for them to walk away with information.
