<\/p>\n
There are moments in life when God feels close. You can sense Him guiding you, correcting you, comforting you. Everything feels clear.<\/p>\n
And then there are moments when it feels like heaven has gone quiet.<\/p>\n
No answers.
No direction.
No reassurance.<\/p>\n
Just silence.<\/p>\n
If you have ever been in that place, you are not alone. I have been there too. Sitting with questions, replaying prayers, wondering if God heard me at all. Wondering if I did something wrong or if I missed His answer somehow.<\/p>\n
But here is what I have learned\u2026 God\u2019s silence does not mean His absence.<\/p>\n
Psalm 46:10 (ESV) says, \u201cBe still, and know that I am God.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n That sounds beautiful until you are actually in a situation where being still feels uncomfortable. When you want answers. When you need movement. When you are tired of waiting.<\/p>\n Being still is not easy when your life feels uncertain.<\/p>\n There was a season in my life when I prayed about the same situation over and over again. I was asking God for clarity, for direction, for some kind of sign that I was on the right path. Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months.<\/p>\n Nothing changed.<\/p>\n At first, I thought maybe I needed to pray harder. Maybe I needed to fast more. Maybe I needed to fix something about myself.<\/p>\n But over time, I realized something deeper. God was not ignoring me. He was teaching me how to trust Him without constant confirmation.<\/p>\n That kind of faith feels different.<\/p>\n It is easy to trust God when things are moving. It is easy to trust Him when doors are opening and prayers are being answered quickly.<\/p>\n But can you trust Him when nothing is happening?<\/p>\n That is the real question.<\/p>\n Isaiah 55:8 says, \u201cFor my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n There are things God is doing that you cannot see yet. There are delays that are actually protection. There are closed doors that are saving you from something you prayed to avoid.<\/p>\n We just do not always recognize it in the moment.<\/p>\n When God is quiet, it forces you to shift your focus. Instead of chasing answers, you begin to rest in who He is.<\/p>\n You remember His character.<\/p>\n Hebrews 13:8 says, \u201cJesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n So even if your circumstances are shifting, God is not.<\/p>\n I know it can feel frustrating when you want direction and all you are getting is silence. You might feel like you are stuck or like your life is on pause.<\/p>\n But you are not stuck.<\/p>\n Sometimes He is working in ways that require time. Sometimes He is preparing you for something you are not ready for yet. Sometimes He is removing things behind the scenes that would have hurt you if they stayed.<\/p>\n And sometimes, He is simply asking you to trust Him without needing to see everything.<\/p>\n That kind of trust is not passive. It is intentional. It is waking up each day and choosing to believe that God is still in control even when you do not feel it.<\/p>\n Proverbs 3:5 says, \u201cTrust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n That part about not leaning on your own understanding is where most of us struggle.<\/p>\n Because we want to understand everything.<\/p>\n But faith does not always come with full explanations.<\/p>\n If God has already given you an instruction, even a small one, hold on to that. Keep moving in that direction. Keep showing up. Keep praying.<\/p>\n He has not.<\/p>\n One thing I had to learn was how to stay consistent even when I did not feel encouraged. I had to keep praying even when I felt like my words were hitting the ceiling. I had to keep trusting even when doubt tried to creep in.<\/p>\n And slowly, something started to change.<\/p>\n Not immediately in my situation, but in me. I became more patient and I became more grounded.<\/p>\n God was strengthening something in me that I did not even realize needed to grow.<\/p>\n James 1:3 says, \u201cfor you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n That word steadfastness matters. It is the ability to remain firm, even when things are uncertain.<\/p>\n That is what God is building in you during the quiet seasons.<\/p>\n So if you are in a place right now where God feels silent, do not panic.<\/p>\n Do not assume the worst.<\/p>\n Do not rush ahead of Him trying to create your own answers.<\/p>\n Stay where He told you to be. And let Him be God.<\/p>\n Because even in the silence, He is still speaking. Just not always in the ways you expect.<\/p>\n God, I will be honest. The silence is hard sometimes. I want to hear You clearly. I want direction and confirmation. But today, I choose to trust You even when I do not understand what You are doing.<\/p>\n Help me to stay grounded in Your truth. Help me to remember that You are still working even when I cannot see it. Strengthen my faith so that I do not rely on feelings alone.<\/p>\n Teach me how to be still and trust You fully.
